I can see a number of these getting picked up - there a few others I'm surprised they accepted the high reserve and can't see selling because of it. What do you think?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Still a crap shoot if the list is available from CIRA...called them 2 weeks ago and they said they were working on it. :xf.frown:

They eventually emailed me back (next day).

"
Dear Chris,

Thank you for your interest in .CA. Unfortunately CIRA's TBR page was unavailable due to unforeseen technical difficulties which prevented the page from being posted publicly. However, the list of TBR domains was posted publicly by some CIRA Certified Registrars who participate in the TBR sessions.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

If you require further assistance, please do not hesitate to reply to this email and I will be pleased to answer any additional questions you may have. You may also contact our Customer Service Department by calling 1-877-860-1411. Alternatively, you may visit our public website at www.cira.ca and click on "Contact Us". "

They won't repost the list.

I have just used Myid/sibername etc to get the list, do they have it? or are you looking to down load it?
I'm still looking for that list. Appreciate an email if you have it.

Most of the bigger .ca registrars have the list but it is not in the format that CIRA provided it....on one page which I really liked.

I also got the "exact" same response when I called Chris. PM coming

Get the list from here: sibername .com/tbr/biglist.php?c=all the whole list on one page. Got the same email from Cira when contacting them.

For sale:

Thanks David.(y) After all these years I knew Siber provided the list but I only saw the alphabetical ...never saw the "all" at the end...I guess I should open my eyes.:xf.wink::xf.grin:

Not sure why anyone would even think of dropping this. PWM is big...even in Canada.

Any comments on the dot ca 3l and 4l markets? I'm thinking non-existent from watching the TBR. Anybody finding any liquidity here. I'm not heavily invested but I have a few, (which would be home runs in dot com :( ).

I don't think Canadian markets for 3L's are very developed due to the limited size of the market of end users as well as the barriers to entry for non-canadians. The long term outlook seems positive though. If you hold into the 2020's you'll probably be rewarded.

Just my thinking, most (<operative word) of the 3L/4L and 3L/4L market was or is being driven by investors hoping to sell to the Chinese, and com is the most desired.

Thinking acronyms might have a chance in the dot ca market and or the real premium letters..
A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, L, M, N, O, P, R, S, T
http://www.3character.com/price-guide.html

Please bear in mind my "Canadian" portfolio is mainly "cannabis" related..

Been doing dotca's for 9 years already, don't want to wait much longer. Found any marketplace with good returns for .ca?

You've been in it longer than me. I knew about the Chinese investors but I think a lot of those 3l and 4l names were also being traded amongst domainers. There always seems to be ready buyers for even crappy combinations. Thanks for posting that price guide.

Was contacted last week on a cannabis name - doesn't seem to be going anywhere.

Maybe but the 3L/4Ldomains not my niche at all. So my opinions and thoughts on that market isnt based on "hands on" experiences

I'd like to see all future TBR's archived by CIRA going forward. It will result in more registrations, more revenue for CIRA and hopefully a higher profile for the extension.

What's your position?

I like this idea. I don't see any reason not to archive those and make them available.

The board influence over operational matters is limited though, so a board member can suggest this to management, but the final decision would remain with management.

Voting in the CIRA board elections is now open, you should have received the voting instructions via email already if you are a CIRA member.

I appreciate your vote for myself or any of the other candidates, thank you for your support and participation.

Does this mean you'll bring it up with management?

Do you guys really want to see the drop lists all the way back to 2014?
Like really? :cigar:

Me personally, no. But someone else might. I guess it doesn't really require to be on the board to ask about it :)

I thought we might have been able to find some of the info here, but no such luck:
https://web.archive.org/web/*/tbr.cira.ca

Some of the index pages are there, but the listings itself appear to be missing.

I agree with @dtagr.

Archiving the TBR lists would be very useful, and likely to result in more registrations.

I always thought it was kind of weird that the lists would just disappear after the drop...
