The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
On a comparative mode with TLDs then YES.

Even spectacular New G's are difficult to sell.

I don't think so, but you could sell me on gTLD's all day long. To many though, they are still a "hard buy", which makes them a hard sell. But it's getting better. Every few decades or so, I'll get a better offer on a name than the last. Which means they are "getting" it.

I've never seen gTLD's as a hard sell, but as a long sell, then yes. I think many investors anticipated slow acceptance on these. For me, it's more for the love of the name than the love of the game that justifies it.

gTLD industries are being more criticized than its promotion. It is obviously the case and having quite competitive contenders to .Com TLD

All domains are a hard sell!
Too many domains
Too many extensions
Too many sellers
Not enough end-users
in my humble opinion!

All but a few of my domains for sale are dot coms.

Interestingly though I have a website of my own up at .club but that's just because that particular business worked well with that extension.

I don't understand this question at all...
Because ALL TLDs (except 2L Country Code TLDs) are gTLDs (Generic Top Level Domains) apriori...

Or you are talking only regarding NEW gTLDs (since 2014)???

next time when ask something! put new GTLD not just TLD! because dot com, dot net are also GTLD!
new GTLD or even CCtld, actually can sell! though the price are not that great! once I sell Cctld dot us for $250, I do nothing, just put them, after 11 month, it sell by itself! so my conclusion is, newGtld, are almost same! they can't match dot com! but some ppl out there will have interest, and don't mind to spend hundreds dollar! as long its short and no typo! I think New tld look great if we use it for email and etc!
e.g [email protected]!

If a domain is quality it can be sold but many factors come into play like pricing, etc.

As an investor, I look at my entire portfolio and I like to be profitable. I really only sell domains to be profitable but my goal is to hang on as values rise and more users want domain names.

If my 1000 domains cost me 8k per year in renewals, I try to sell 10k to 15k per year minimum and that's not too hard.

I don't accept super low offers on any domains, new gtlds or otherwise.

When someone offers me $250 for say ai.city, I don't sell because I'm betting it will be worth alot more someday.

Anyway, to me they are all the same. I just try to be profitable and continue enjoying my passion for domaining.

Why so low???
I knew Russian domainer that sold his handregged .US for high $X,XXX to American farmer...
Also I saw even up to $2X,XXX .US sales in DNJournal...

its company name(to be exact acronym four letter) . and to be honest, I never expected they will buy! so its something like nice surprise! you can say lack of preparation, so when its coming, you just let go, and that's it!

LOVE this. I totally agree. Wait a few decades and they are probably an easier sell. But then again. Who wants to wait 20 years for a "better offer".
