I realized there are lots of domain names that are being sold over the web that are not listed in namebio
I wanted to know what is the estimate % of the whole transactions that are being listed through namebio.com ?
if anyone knows

I know as a matter of fact that the Iranian market are completely out of namebio
almost +95% of domains witch sold in iranian market are not listed in namebio

and as far as it goes for the global market i just checked hotels.com booking.com and
some other names that i personally knew are not there as listed transactions in
namebio.com

In terms of the sales that happen publicly and are possible to witness, we're extremely thorough. In terms of all transactions including private ones, nobody could ever possibly know how many occur.

But I've estimated the total size of the domain aftermarket including private transactions using two completely different methods and they both came up with very similar numbers, and based on that I would estimate that we gather almost 50% of all sales in terms of quantity and around 25% in terms of dollar volume (since private transactions are generally less frequent but for larger amounts).

Keep in mind we also gather a tremendous number of sales below $100 that we don't publish yet but probably will at some point in the future, these are factored into the estimates above.

That said, there's no point in worrying about the private sales that you can never know about, all you can do is work with the information that is available. We encourage people to submit private sales to us so we can add them manually, but for the most part people are too busy or just don't want to share.
