The Houston flooding disaster is terrible. I think so far more than 30 people have lost their lives and 50,000 homes are said to be damaged or destroyed. People from the UK are watching and I think our government will try to help.

@Eric ~ your home maybe gone but you will get another. It`s a small consolation and easy for me to say as I was not affected by the disaster. However the most important thing is your family are safe. That`s the epic one to be thankful for. Nothing else gets close to being anywhere near as important as that ~ not by a long shot.

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to take a moment to step away from all the chaos, stress, and heart break here to express my deepest thanks and affection to each and every one of you that have come together and organized such a heartfelt and empathetic campaign to help my family in these dark times.

As many of you already know and read in many places, our lives here (Not just mine, but thousands of people in Texas) have lost everything they own to hurricane Harvey.

I can't put into words how moved and appreciative we are that so many people sprung into action to help us get through this. Most of the things we lost can never be replaced (E.g. Things from our grand parents, great grand parents, photo albums, antiques, and other odds and ends).

We are thankful that we are safe now and made it out without any loss of life in our family. Injuries we minor and nothing that a little first aide and TLC couldn't fix.

The devastation of our home, vehicles, and all our belongings are going to take a long time for us to recover from. The emotional impact and memories will be with us forever.

We never expected such a huge effort and response from the domain community/industry like what's currently unfolding today. I can't thank you all enough for everything you have done so far. Please keep in mind that I don't want anyone to make any donations if it's not something you can do without. The last thing I need on my conscious right now (In addition to all the other stress) is someone helping us with something that they need for their own families.

As many of you read in my FaceBook updates, I started out very strong and got through the flooding with my family until we were rescued and they were safe. Once my adrenaline finally started to dissipate, the reality and stress of the situation started to take hold, which got very emotional for me.

Thanks for your prayers and kind words, it's helped me recoupe my strength again and start to push forward. It's going to take a while to bounce back from this, but I am confident the light at the end of the tunnel will eventually come.

My heart goes out to the thousands of others still out there missing, trapped, and seeking safety, to the families in Texas that lost contact with loved ones and don't know if they are ok and safe, and to all those that lost everything like we did.

Each and every one of them will be in our prayers.

Please bear with me as I slowly get back up to speed and try to get back on a track with NamePros duties. I deeply appoligize for the backlog and slow support responses the last few day. It's my hopes that I can get things caught up and running smoothly again within the next few days.

Speak for yourself. Personally I am upset that he is not working on the forum. I am not sure why trying to survive a natural disaster means you should get cut any slack

I think we have proved that this is a FANTASTIC community. We work together, we stick together, we look after our own. Great work everyone!!

Eric, I'm glad to hear that you and your family are safe. To survive such a natural catastrophy should be all to fight and hope for. Everything else doesn't matter if a life is lost. It's very sad to hear about how many people died and were injured in this terrible catastrophy in Texas. Unfortunately we hear very sad reports that in the same time on the other side of the globe in Mumbai-India people going to a similar catastrophy of floodings in which over 1000 people lost their lives.
In such difficult times humanity, love and action is needed more than ever to overcome all the hurdles and pain. As a member of namepros community I will do my best to help you Eric and others to recover from this catastrophy. Peace to all!

GoFundMe can't be withdrawn from until Sept. 7th or 11th and paypal can be done within 48 hours. Just so you know.

I'm on the verge of tears right now with the amazing level of support everyone has been giving us.

Thank you guys so much. We just got back from walmart with some baby clothes, diapers, diaper rash cream, a stroller, and other baby related items since he lost everything too. Right now he's our main focus.

Thanks again to everyone that has donated. Please don't send any money that you need for your own families. We hope that all the best karma comes back to you 10 fold.
