Hi all,
I decided to throw up a quick Wordpress shop strictly as an example for one of my domains, GuitarParts.Shop

I'd like to get your thoughts on it. I just posted a few products using stock images in a "sort-of-working" shop - don't want people actually buying from it... wait, what am I saying!???! lol ;)

I did this an about half an hour so I know it's got a ways to go. Any suggestions on how to improve it for end users to get an idea would be greatly appreciated. Should I build out detailed product listings and a quick category list? Post a few "real" blog entries?

Or heck, should I just build the damn thing out and run it as a business...? ;)

Thanks for checking it out!

It looks good. Nothing wrong with basic.

Looks good and I like the idea. Basic and easy is what you want with what you are doing, right?
Would be a good store for someone.
If I was selling the domain and did something like that I would have that info "guitarparts.shop is for sale...." on the "about us" page with a "contact us" form on that page as well.
Maybe do away with the "GP Shop Blog" so they wouldn't click on that instead of "about us" and leave before seeing it's for sale?

Good ideas, thanks. Easy changes... :)

A whammy bar for 9.99? Must be top shelf. ;)

Seriously, the domain is perfect for dev, and that layout works, but there would be a lot of work moving up in the search.
If you have the wherewithal to devote to it there is a good markup, especially for quality parts.
(9.99 whammy bars not included) :)

Peace,
Cy

Hehe, yep, only the best whammy bars! ;)

Yeah, I am on the fence about making a go of the site myself - I'm a longtime guitarist & tinkerer (formerly touring pro as a sideman) and have a workshop in my basement - could actually stock it with starter inventory. :)

Thanks for the kind words!
