I know -it is a spinoff linked to a cloud in plural... But nonetheless: Catchy, no?

Any and all comments appreciated

It's more a spinoff of Google Cloud Platform :) TM issues, and IMO not catchy. I see no interest from either resellers or end-users.

It looks like you just got the domain today so try to see if you can get a refund asap.

No value here and TM issues.

Thank you both for input, it is appreciated- but being the devil's advocate... TradeMark issues?

That would be the same as Volvo suing me if I registered Valvodriver.com?

Does Google have a trademark on generic terms such as "goggle" and "cloud"?

-I think not

Goggleclouds is meant as a cloud service supervising network activity and intervening with security breaches -whilst wearing goggles as in keeping the end user safe from malicious attacks

Google cloud platform - never heard of it. Oh, btw: Do they have exclusive rights to the generic "platform" also?

TM issues aside, why would anyone develop a service using a domain so similar to the name of a Google service? I bet a majority of people would see and remember the domain as Google Clouds and not Goggle Clouds.

I am pretty convinced that the Google legal department will be able to convince WIPO that Goggleclouds is similar enough to be considered a TM infringement. Considering what has been decided to be TM infringing in the past, this looks like a clear case, especially if the domain is used for anything related to cloud computing. Anyway, the domain is too long and not catchy so I doubt anybody would take the chance.

Well, Google IMO is a search engine - my domain may have similarities - but is intended towards network security. No dubt in my mind that a bunch of lawyers can crush the "little man" and claim ownership to the name -but exactly where is the line to be drawn?

That being said - I see your points and it is not my intention to be cybersquatting here.

Why did you register that particular combo?

Nobody can use it for a cloud service - look up the term "Confuingly similar." And might want to do some research on trademark basics while you're at it."

This domain is worth reg fees, and I only say that because of forum rules. Grace delete and get your money back.

Honestly, I regged it and saw some similarity to Google as in search engine -believe it or not. Then my thought was that Google cannot possibly have ownership to the word "Goggle" or "Clouds". Furthermore, proposed area of business is network security - whereas google IMO is a search engine

"Google Cloud Platform" v.s "GoggleClouds" -I am truly having a hard time grasping exactly how far this TM regime is reaching
