Hello,

I am the owner of a celebrity blog and forum, I have seen that it’s possible to sell website on the internet so I was checking an online tool and I found the value of my site is around $75,000.

I really would like to sell it as soon as possible.

Can you guys give me a confirmation about the metric and system used to evaluate my website?

I have contacted BizBroker24, a good Mergers and Acquisition company of E-Business and they told me they can give me 3.0x multiple of my NET Income (Cash).

What do you think about it?

Thank you a lot!

Hello sandra9rave9,

Please add the domain / website name to the title as per NamePros rules.

We cant really appraise or evaluate your site without knowing the name.

Thank you.

Peace,
Cyberian

I think you can surely get 2.0x multiple of your NET Income (Wire Transfer) as I don't think anyone is going to come to your house to deliver cash.

And if your site is already doing lets say

100 USD

If your site is doing 100 USD per year and you want to sell that site for 200 USD?

I don't think so.

Now lets take another example.

100,000 USD

If your site is doing 100,000 USD per year and you want to sell that site for 200,000 USD?

I don't think so. :)

-----------------------------------------------------------

Believe me it gets crazy when you go into details.

OR it might be too easy if you don't know things about finance and then someone somewhere will surely take that juicy site off your hands.

But on most cases the sites that are being sold are over valued by their owners and aren't that juicy.

Thanks.

That was general appraisal without seeing your domain name.

If you want proper appraisals then as Cyberian said above try and mention your website's name here.

Just don't be afraid. We won't steal your idea. LOL. Celeb blogs are dime a dozen.

What matters is organic traffic and revenue.

So if you have organic traffic and revenue. Of making 100,000 USD per year. I don't know why you would take 300,000 USD and put it into bank to make 2% interest on that amount.

You have 2 choices you either sell your site that makes 100,000 USD per year and has potential of making 300,000 USD in next 3 years and put that 300,000 USD (Minus the brokerage fees + Income tax) into your bank to earn an easy 2% returns.

OR

You can keep making 100,000 USD for next 3 years and hope to make more out of it maybe even increase the revenue next year to be 150,000 instead of 100,000.

It is a tough thing to decide.

OR an easy one for a guy who wants to spin a fast one.

Lol,

I you are talking about some online junk website worth tool who appraised your website worth $75,000 then just shot them an email and offer them your website for $35000. You will get real worth of your website.

Appraising website involved lots of factors, including, your website traffic, origin of traffic (as no one like Facebook, Twitter traffic, they are only good for CPA site). I had try to give you more detailed answer but there is no URL of your website.

If you believe all these appraisers of sites, then every second is worth millions, and in fact, 10,000 is not worth it. And no one will sell a site with a stable income, exceptional circumstances are needed.

Without knowing the website it is hard to evaluate and appraise.. Like so of the others have said there are many variables that go into pricing not just revenue but age, organic rankings, industry, backlinks, domain etc...

If you do want to sell it take a look at Flippa they sell websites all day every day
