@enlytend Sorry for being such a snarky a-hole.
No problem - we all get pretty snarky here! But apology appreciated and accepted.

"Many sides" - what an inadequate and wussy response. Mr "politically incorrect" appears to be afraid of offending his base. The car running into the counterprotesters wasn't "many sides", more like an act of domestic terrorism. Call them what they are - white supremacist terrorists, nazis, radical white nationalists... any of those would do nicely.

Isn't it interesting that in January one of 45's executive orders explicitly removed white supremacists from an anti-extremism program. David Duke said yesterday's rally "fulfills the promises of Donald Trump." Sickening.

The tiki torches were an incongruous touch - "Get rid of all the non-whites, non-Christians, immigrants ... and mosquitoes." ???

The danger of labeling white supremacists in general an extremist group is that dishonest liberals keep trying to label every convervative or pro-trump group as white supremacists. If liberals are allowed to call anyone they don't like as white supremacists and then label them terrorists, then they will obviously use this in combination with their propaganda machine to have every true conservative jailed.

David Duke does not mean anything to 99+% of Trump supporters. The left can always pay some notorious racist to praise Trump so that the media and a bunch of leftist robots like you can make knowingly unrealistic comparisons. Your motives here are obvious. You are here to ensure that everyone associates anything that is not socialist/communist with racism/fascism. Good luck with that.

With all due respect, you don't know me and don't know jack sh*t about me or my motives. And your "slippery slope" assumptions / argument are a logical fallacy and a ridiculous stretch of the imagination.
Duke was speaking at the rally in Charlottesville. And he got pissed that 45 condemned events of the last 24 hrs even in the weak terms he did. Between 45, Gorka, Miller and Bannon, he's accustomed to having quite a support base in the WH.
If 45's supporters don't know who Duke is, they need to shut their pieholes and get an education. Or at least google it. He and the KKK supported and endorsed 45 throughout the campaign.
Nazi salutes, "Blood and Soil", several wearing shirts with Hitler quotes, confederate and swastika banners, chanting "Jews will not replace us" - what do you call that? I would call them "white supremacists." or nazis.
That's not who we are as a country. It's what our parents and grandparents fought and died fighting against.
I don't see eye to eye with McConnell on a lot of things, but this time he got it right:
"The hate and bigotry witnessed in Charlottesville does not reflect American values. I wholeheartedly oppose their actions."

Always sad to see political violence, but when you start silencing free speech, freedom of thought and not allowing any group from peaceful protest, then more Charlottevile's are gonna happen.

When only the right wingers are demonized for inciting hatred by the MSM, but the leftist groups get a pat on their back by the same Liberal Media, then there is something wrong with society.

I'm listening to CNN and all they've been talking about is White racist supremacists, blaming them for the violence but not one word condemning the lefties and also blaming Trump for his speech being too weak.

The Governor of Virginia had very strong words against the Nazis and the KKK's and White Supremacists, but said nothing about the Antifa's and Leftists and BLM's that were there provoking the others, resulting in all this violence.

The images I've seen so far is of fists flying from both groups, but listening to CNN, there is only one group bashing the other. Then there is a car smashing into a crowd, killing a person and injuring close to 20. CNN was saying that it was 3 people killed. Later they found out that 2 of those deaths were from a helicopter crash.

Now lets wait and see who the driver is. It would not shock me to find out that he's an anti-Trumper.

Whoever he is, he deserves the full extent of the law for such a cowardly act. Hang him by the balls I say, in a public square.

To me, it was odd that he ran into another car instead of the sidewalk mowing people method. So we will have to see what turns out to be the case.

Police Helicopter also crash working on this, I think two Police died.

Check from 2 minute mark on. You had bikes, poles, barriers, newspaper vending machines, and other stuff on the sidewalks. Then at the end when he backs up. I didn't see many people from where he started, so him saying he was scared, ain't going to fly. He went straight into the crowd, not away.

The people were mostly in the road, see them all scrambling.

Never thought of that. But as he ran into another car he rammed into quite a lot of people. What amazed me more is how easily he managed to reverse and get away from the crime scene.

The modus operandi of vehicles terrorism is not to squarely hit an auto in front of you. So we will just have to see. Probably didn't see the car.

The left-wing Snopes says this isn't true, as close as they can without actually telling the truth anyway.

On 2 February 2017, the Alternative Media Syndicate web site re-published a Reuters news service article with the factually inaccurate and misleading headline “Trump Just Removed White Supremacist Groups from Terror Watch Program.”

I really doubt Trump would be that detailed. Here is the actual headline:

Exclusive: Trump to focus counter-extremism program solely on Islam - sources

Here's a hint for those that don't understand the inner workings of idiots: Don't go to the rallies of D-Bags, stand by your values and far away from them, let them choke on their own bile (and small crowds of losers).

I'm all for free speech and peaceful protest, BUT

Like child p*rnograpghy, "Fighting words" and "offensive speech" are not protected by 1a. Gets tricky determining legally where the line is drawn though. There are some determining factors re what meets that criteria.

Who provoked who? Many would consider carrying a swastika and shouting Nazi slogans to be pretty provocative. Were they peacefully minding their own business? Some of them were caught on film going after counterprotesters with sticks. Or pointing a gun at them. And there's the guy in the car.

And let's say they were perfectly within their rights to assemble and spout their rhetoric - They don't stand for what this country is about and our leaders should have the brass ones to use THEIR free speech to denounce the hatred and racism. Which many of them did - including Republicans like McConnell, Ryan, Hatch, Cruz, McCain, Gardner, Grassley, Rubio, ... Except POTUS, who notably tiptoed around the subject.
For all the times he complained about obamas choice of words (ie "violent extremists" vs "radical islamic terrorists"), you'd think he'd be the first to call them what they are...
The silence implicitly condones it.

I'll stand corrected on the exec order since I don't have time to pursue the details. Anyway, not that important. Plenty of other indications where he stands. His daddy would be so proud,

That's probably it... didn't see the car.
Didn't see the other car because of all the people he was running over that were between him and it.

Nice job 45.
No wonder some groups (his support base) are feeling galvanized. The example comes from the very top always.
Hate speech is the enabler of hate actions.

And all this cray cray was (presumably) centered around plans to remove a statue of Robert E Lee. Who by traditional definition was a traitor. And he lost. About 150 years ago.
One of these groups could buy the statue and put it in their private headquarters or whatever. Just a thought. Or 45 can buy it and put it on one of his golf courses or hotel lobbies. (<-- maybe not - he doesn't like losers.)
