President Trump announced Military will not allow transgender people. The left is exploding with wild conspiracies and the expected hate.

This has to do with military readiness. The rule allowing people with gender dysphoria was political not practical. This change is practical, not political.

A long standing rule, you can't join the military with a preexisting medical condition. They won't allow people with braces, a bad back, i.e. severe scoliosis, one leg shorter than the other, etc..

But transgenders are not sick. And there are many clerical positions in the military. I mean, not everybody has to be combat-ready.
I have been in touch with transgenders in Europe, who came from all walks of life. Some working in police, the military, self-employed, civil servants etc. Not saying the transition is always easy (depends on your environment) but there is no eviction policy and there are even anti-discrimination laws in place.
Actually, I think the authorities should always lead by example. In the US they do, but they show the wrong example, and even more so lately.

Chris Beck did not serve as transgender SEAL and raised zero transgender issues in his 20-year service. It was all a secret until he retired from Navy SEAL Team 6 in 2011. Only after retirement did Chris become Kristin Beck.

Drug testing should be mandatory for government positions. That rant sounded like it may have been fueled by a few lines of white powder. Just sayin.

Thanks to the 3 senators who broke ranks and refused to vote yes on that mystery-meat repeal bill. Time for a non-partisan discussion of how to reform healthcare to best to serve the needs of their constituents.

Bingo...they understand the potential costs associated with any medical procedure that is initiated during the service term...elective or not. Military funds should be spent for improved weaponry and pay (ever been in base housing?) not an elective medical procedure.

Pre or post trans persons should be welcomed with open arm before or after reassignment...it is beyond ridiculous that US taxpayers should spend 8 million (that is what I read...no first hand knowledge) or 8 thousand dollars to take care of an elective procedure.
