discuss Discuss and Showcase Drone Domain Names

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
I have recently read that the drone industry is trying to change the word "drone" to something different.

The word "drone" has a very bad rep. for obvious reasons.

What do you think will happen with the word "drone" and drone domain names?

Feel free to showcase your drone domain names on this thread.

I had my largest drone domain sale last month for $15k
I have deleted the keyword so please don't ask what it was, I am keeping it a private sale for now.
It was a .com

Lennco,

Was the concierge service something the buyer wanted, or you wanted, or you wanted as well as the buyer?

Anyone,

At what $ amount when selling a domain name would you prefer using Escrow's concierge service, compared to using their standard service? Never? At 5,000.00? 10,000.00? .....?

The concierge service was something that I wanted.
Try your best Not the transfer a domain directly to the buyer if possible (unless you know or trust the buyer and if its a low price domain)
Try and use some kind of escrow service that takes possession of the domain as well as the money.

At $1000 the concierge service fee would be $10% but it gets cheaper as the sale price goes up.
Sedo's escrow is a lot cheaper only if your domain is not listed there, if it is listed at Sedo then they are going to charge you 15%

If your domain is not listed at sedo then you can always try and use their escrow service for about 3% but all that has to be done trough emails (n)

If sedo ever implements an online escrow service platform on their site (only escrow) then I would probably use them if my names were not listed with them.

Congratulations on the sale!

Do you mind sharing where you sold the name? Sedo, Afternic, etc?

I am trying to sell some of mine, but not getting any bites yet.

Thanks

Thanks, lennco. I think that's good advice.

It's what I was thinking, as well, but I've read on NP that some think the concierge service is unnecessary. I wasn't so sure on that.

Stoked on this collaboration.
By the time winter 2018 rolls around, Intel will probably be allowed to have thousands of drones in their light shows. It is going to be amazing exposure for dronelightshow(s).com. I already outbounded the perfect person at Intel but was told they are not interested. Booo Intel!

If no hyphen, and dot com, as stated, then both are excellent, IMO.

I enjoy this thread as there is some really good conversation and some of you have some great domain names. I don't see that any would sell in here. Any suggestions on getting some activity on selling drone related domain names?

As a domainer for several years now, I just sit and wait for someone to contact me if they are interested in one of my domains. Most of the time the people don't even respond to my reply. I have been searching for some site or auctions to offer them up, since I have them listed on most major reseller sites. Sedo is very picky and I compare my names to those that have sold on NameBio or DNJournal and question who is paying so much for such bad domain names??? There used to be live auctions and conferences, but they all stopped. The domain name industry is alive and doing very well, and has for many years, but there seems to be a void for bringing domain name buyers and sellers together. My two cents for today.

I've bought the Mavic drone and I've done the theory exam...waiting to do the practical. It would appear to me that society is on the cusp of a 'drone revolution' (taken by someone). Why would anyone venture out to buy medicine when a drone could easily bring it to the door? Why would anyone spray crops in an aeroplane, when a drone could do it autonomously? Why would anyone take a car across town through rush hour traffic, if they could just take a taxi drone? My god that's a good one.
