BREAKING | .top topped .xyz

this is a historical breaking news.
We knowww that 'top' means 'top'. Therefore, the TLD .top can not be topped in it's meaning by anyyy other TLD.

But nowww & todayyy, according to the website http://www.namestat.org the TLD .top topped the TLD .xyz also by it's number of registrations:

.top | 2,615,724 domains registered
.xyz | 2,579,162 domains registered

So nowww the TLD .top currentlyyy has 36,562 domains more registered than the TLD .xyz

Here is a today's screenshot (marked) of the mentioned website which shows these numbers:

As I 'predicted' in past - and as we can seee nowww - the TLD .top is nowww the most registered newww TLD of all newww TLDs.

But I am sure, that this is still just the beginning - because the TLD .top will also top the TLD .com in it's number of registrations one dayyy like it has topped .com in it's meaning since it's first dayyy

What do you think???
How long it will need until .top will top the TLD .com also by it's registration numbers???
You are wwwelcome to share your viewww

All the best with your invest,
KINGOF.TOP

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
They have both dropped millions of registrations, .TOP is just dropping at a slower rate now.
They are both headed in the wrong direction. XYZ is just getting there faster...

Brad
It's just the fluctuation, at least in case of .top

Another point is, that I am very convinced, that 'USA is frustrated about the fact that CHINA owns the .top TLD'.
The .TOP gTLD has become a Chinese gTLD. It does not have much activity outside that market. The .XYZ gTLD initially started out as a mainly US gTLD but a number of promotional deals with Chinese registrars turned it into a China market dominated gTLD. The advantage that .XYZ has over .TOP is that it is a generic gTLD. The .TOP gTLD has its own renewal issues to deal with. It is, by no means, a .COM killer.

It's a little like:

I lost my job, but my neighbor lost both his job and his car.

So I am the winner!

Thanks for your viewww

The .top TLD has become the .top TLD (with its launch).
So, naturallyyy, it doesn't have activityyy belowww the .top market.
The .xyz TLD initiallyyy started out as a mainly .xyz TLD, also a number of promotional deals with .xyz registrars let it be the .xyz market dominated .xyz TLD.
The advantage that .top has over .xyz, is, that it is the .top TLD.
The .com TLD has its own renewal issues to deal with.
It is, by no means, a .top killer.

.top = top.

No, it's total like:

I got the .top, but my neighbor got the .xyz and the .com.
So I am the winner!

But he can win too if he start focusing on reaching the .top

For some of you the current situation mayyy look like (a) 'sinking ship/s' - but in realityyy there is no reason to post such panic pics because .top will be the harbour for all other TLDs.

Yes, but it seems you now think they will never increase again - which is, with all due respect, complete crazyyyin myyy viewww
In case of .xyz I can't sayyy how long it will take until the drops will stop - but in case of .top I am sure the drops will soon turn into regs. because .top is the world's newww top TLD and has more hidden potencial than all other TLDs together - including .com
, which is actuallyyy the sinking ship if I imagine its future.

.Top has lost 46% of their registrations from its peak.

Meanwhile .COM is near 130M regs and has put up steady growth for 20+ years.

The message you get out of that is that .COM is the sinking ship? LOL

Yes, it's my viewww because everyyy TLD is under the .top TLD nowww
There are no other top TLDs possible, .top is the newww top TLD.
It will need time until this awareness will turn global - but that's whyyy I said 'future'.

Our acting is a result of our (aware or unconsciously) striving to the top.
This can have manyyy meanings, the point is that .top is top.

So sooner or later everyyy domainers / end users choice will be the TLD .top
Thats whyyy I believe the TLD .com is the sinking ship.

Almost every month, .COM has more new registrations than are active in .TOP and more deletions than are registered in .TOP gTLD. The .TOP may lead the new gTLDs by registrations for the moment but the new gTLD markets seems to be separating into tiers. The problem with many of the gTLDs in Tier 1 of the new gTLDs is that they depend on discounting and promotion for their registration volume. There are some new gTLDs like .CLUB that have managed to build registration volume through a lot of hard work and marketing by the registry. However, some of the Tier 1 new gTLDs have become so dependent on discounting that without it, they have serious sustainability issues. The downside of discounting is that when it is used too widely it kills natural development in the gTLD.

Remind me, why is this historical, and why does it matter? Thanks for the stats, but were you aware that it's not a race?

BTW.. xyz = .xyz so therefore no other TLD can be the xyz.

.top = .almost, that's just a fact. Still a nice TLD, because have .almost is better than .nothing-at-all.

Do you have any idea of how many ( dot ) ( Com's ) have been registered since it's inception on

January 1985? That was approximately 32 years ago. I can not tell you without looking it up, but (dot) (Top)

is how old? 3 years old or around there. That means (dot) ( Com) has had approximately a 30 year head

start on the Tld (dot) (Top) The bottom line here is, (dot) (Com) is millions and millions ahead in registrations

and (dot) (Top) will never ever, ever catch up to (dot) (Com) I am happy for you though that (dot) (Top) surpassed (dot) xyz

Your analysis are appreciated - although they will never change the fact that .top = top.
That's whyyy I am sure that everyone knows that .top = top.

There is time, step by step, more and more people will understand that .top = top.
That's whyyy it will top everyyy TLD
, also .co
