Poor planning on their part. Seems silly to open if you don't have the supply to meet the demand. Especially in the beginning, as it holds a larger percentage of fad, newness, and inflated pricing, most of which should dissipate in the coming months.

These new states reaching go-live between now and 2018 should take a page from CO, WA, etc; so as not to make the same mistakes, IMO.

.com WOULD be better; however it is being used for hemp tennis racquets.

Nevada

The game hasn't even started for a domain sale, short of a re sale amongst brokers, a few nice glimpses of the future market but that's all . The Nevada end users, stores and growers etc are just putting in their applications now.

The existing monopolistic few in Nevada ( 50 +/-) that had existing mmj..permits were allowed to sell recreational. The thousands of applicants as of July 01st were allowed to apply. This is our future. These will be in place in 2018. So again expect a noticeable surge, as in the other states in the late Fall to 2018 winter.

Hundreds of thousands of new cannabis dreamers will be vying for the market share. They will need and compete for the quality we all own. Quality, .com, seo...two words max, heavy to canna, leaf, and fun pot names, as well as well thought out brandables...that will take quality sales work to sell.



They will all be branding in a competitive market place. I devided...the state's up. Don't waste your time on Ohio for example, 20 permitted growers and retail monopolys issues. Florida 10.

( liberal medical with ballot initiative Fall, same system , unlimited everything)

Note monopolistic states don't need to brand. Or drop $5000 on $9 domains, Not to mention 10 new entitys in all of Florida for example . One would hope that if your awarded a monopolistic Willy Wonka golden ticket you'd fork out for a great domain, but that's for true top tier quality

Few if any are left for hand registrars. I watch this closely. So the idea of anyone anymore buying decent inventory is over. Retail store owner on down.

I only focus on Cannabis domains. And am on the equipment side of the industry.

From unlimited to only unlimited in counties and cities that passed the referendum, including Boston. It's %72 of the amount of cities and towns. The other 28% can limit or ban such stores and growers.

Unknown at this time the amount .

There is substantial limitations on usage of words in advertising. Expect limitations on certain words and usage of cartoon characters in marketing. No limits on edibles short of no marketing twords children.

Cannabis commission
5 person board controls the new department. It's independent of other regulatory arenas such as tobacco and alcohol.

Overall comment

Game on, this is volume . And a complete requirement to market and advertise. Most all new people in this will be looking for good .com, the market will dictate competition .
