Interesting.
As I understood, the domain has been transferred by the victim, and now he wants it back.

Always use a fake address for whois or a PO BOX...
Same applies for phone numbers

Very interesting indeed, a sign of the times i guess, I never used to have to use whois privacy back in the day, Today? Good Gawd yes, I have to use whois privacy, I was getting 100 calls a day by those auto dialer things, Not to mention the out right scammers that where calling me, Telling me they were with *********** Law Firm, and i should immediately push a domain name i owned into their account before UDRP proceedings were filed against me LOL. Needless to say, Those folks and myself had words i can't type on here.

Nice, it sounds like he shot the burglar with the burglar's own gun.

I always said, they should keep the email you provide public, but the rest of the info private. That way if someone needs to reach you they can (if you want that for potential leads), but random people don't need to know where you live or operate from..

I so totally agree with what you propose! Just the email, everything else by default should be private.

This has happened, what, like twice in the history of domains? It seems like this happens in crypto every other month. Therefore, domains are a safer investment than crypto.

I had one guy threaten me with violence and ask if my whois was correct. Thing is, this guy is a domainer and he knows if my whois was wrong, he could jam me up bad. NUTCASES out there.
