Will a .biz domain do well in ranking in google search? To me, someone who is not a domain expert by no means, but just a regular dude,I think .biz seems really cool compared to a lot of the other domain name extensions. Your thoughts?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
ANY TLD can do well in SERP...
I don't know about any discriminations by Google or other engines...

gTLDs like .com, .net and .org are generally more popular and more favored by search engines in any case. If you wish for some reason to register a .biz domain, you're most free to do that, as long as you follow proper guides to make it well known, a domain name extension such as .biz won't matter as much, however it is always a more favorable option to just register one of the more popular TLDs (or all of them :P)

.biz is often associated with unprofessional websites, but that's not to say all are. If you're looking to develop your first website, worry more about content than the TLD.

I'm curious if people outside of the United States like .biz more,or are more acceptable?

actual at that forum its only .com. if you have business best choose its .com. For sales .com.

For a global audience .biz has same search engine strength as .com though I would second that .com is better for a sales or e-commerce website. For a company presentation .biz could be fine.

Also you should know that country code domain names appear before generat top level domains in local search (for example someone from UK uses Google for search and it will display .uk results before .com as they are more localy relevant).

So for a generic top level domain such as .biz or .com you need to go trough a process with Google to geotarget the audience in similar way as country code domains mainly do.
(look for International targeting at support.google)

There are some exceptions when ccTLD are treated as gTLD when they are used for general purpose such as .to or .me though.

Did not want to confuse you more but if you are a local business looking for a local audience then ccTLD can be good too.
Anyway website content is much more important these days than just the domain name as search engines have evolved and dig much deeper into the website than before. On page SEO, off page SEO, backlinks ...

It is acceptable everywhere in 3-figure range...
4-figure sales are rare...
5-figure - just a few yearly.

.biz is not popular anywhere. But outside the US people prefer ccTLDs and/or .com. Usage of .biz is an oddity.
