Hey everyone!
I recently bought a domain name because I had some extra money and wanted to get into this. But now I don't know what to do next :(
Is there a domaining for dummies guide anyone could point me towards?
Thanks!

Welcome to the wonderful world of NamePros, and welcome to the team!! :cigar:
Congratulation on making the first step into domaining.
In regards of your question on what to do next, It all depends on the type of domain you have purchased and how much you have paid for that specific domain name.
There are many different types of domains with many having their own unique value.
If you wish to share the domain with us, some NamePros members on here may give you some good sound advice of what to do next with your first domain.

Regards,
SuperNames

Welcome to NamePros!

There are posts on NamePros covering every purpose for which a domain name can be used.

Why did you acquire the name?

Did you acquire it for personal use, for site development, for a flip, as an investment or, for ?.

Look around, search and locate the hundreds or thousands of posts re your reason for having the name and determine a " next " that is consistent with your goals and skill sets.

Thanks for the welcome!
I want to sell the domain name I got but among all the different sites and options available I ended up being confused. I registered the domain name awaitinghappiness.com and it's just a couple of weeks old, but among the doubts I have I think the most important ones are how to choose a price for your domain name and when to use a domain selling website (like sedo) vs when to contact potential buyers directly.

Welcome to NamePros. The best thing is to start reading here on NP and look at the Popular Domain Discussions. And feel free to ask questions...

Welcome to NamePros and Domaining.
I am a Beginner as well.so I cannot Give Expert Advice Regarding Domain names but one thing I can assure you that It is a good thing that you have some extra money,Don't buy any new Domain names , Read Name Pros as Much as you can Every Day for as long as you can Before you Register the next Domain name.
Don't make the same mistake I or most of the Beginners did and Register bunch of useless Domain names.
You are lucky that you found this community.Every one here will Help you as much as they can.
Good Luck with your Sales @Viut

Thanks everyone for your help!
I'm thinking I'll use this one as a test run while I explore posts on the forums for some time until I feel confident enough to buy my next domain.
Thanks!

If your wife/gf is a nagging type , give your money to her . When you find domains to buy, you will need to convince her to get your fund, that will save you a lot

*sorry, im just joking ... but it might work

Good luck. Hope you find some good names soon
