The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Your message is a bit confusing. Banned from what? I normally use fail.namewest.com to check if it has been banned from adsense. No tool is likely to be 100% accurate. But fail.namewest.com is about as accurate as you can get.

Thanks for this. Like the OP, I have found the main ban check sites that come up in a Google search are very inconsistent. This NW one looks great plus you can go bulk checks which is great!

AdSense.

Fail.NameWest.com is what you need. It will be as accurate as the information provided by Google is accurate.

I just checked out on it now, and i really found very useful. Especially the bulk search features it gives.

I'm glad you like it. I like it too. I have no affiliation with NameWest.com

It's pulling it's results from Google. If it's not updated. I'd suggest Google isn't updated. Please post your evidence, which makes you suspect it is inaccurate or not updated.

@DzAH - You haven't yet posted your evidence which makes you suspect it is inaccurate or not updated.

As I've said. It's reliant on Google, who is the arbiter here. If Google have got it wrong. We will never know, anyway. Since their word is the gospel on this subject. You cannot get any closer to the horse's mouth.

@stub - I had a domain that NW showed as faillisted, but it showed up in regular google searches. Idk about adsense though.

I now have hand registered two domains that NW claims are classified by google as "adult". How do I check if that is accurate?

I think you would need to ask Google why they have blacklisted a domain but it was still showing up in Google searches. I cannot speak for them.

You could check them at another Google checker. But as I've said. NW is using Google's own data. I cannot say why there should be anomalies in Google's own data.

It's probably a lot easier to get an adult domain re-rated as clean. By removing all the backlinks and placing non-adult content on the domain. Should do the trick. But it might not help much if the domain name itself has adult content.

hmm its really weird. When I tested it kinda long ago, it did show up in google search, but when I tried earlier today it didnt, however now it does show up again.. lol.

The domain is sophisticated.biz.

I found it in drop list some time ago, and liked the idea of the name. I didn't know about faillisting, so I hand reg. it. It now has a namecheap "landing page".

I kinda hope it would fix itself.

This name looks clean to me with the tools I use. Google is not perfect and always updating

A few months ago I tested several of my current inventory of dropped names, With the nameswest site to bulk check them. That faillist tool stated problems with several but my interest was only in one of my domains/site that showed as faillisted. (And the domain Is faillisted still today, as this thread prompted me to check it just now)

So way back I contacted go ogle and added my domain to my main g account and asked reconsideration, and it is now indexed. But I don't have any adsense ads on the site. So I dont have confidence in the accuracy of what that namewest tool is using as its api or database, etc or if is being updated, perhaps the database is old. I have redirected several hundred names to this main website over time, which I have not rechecked those newer names as being faillisted. My point is using the site:domain.com command shows my pages as indexed.

Correct me if I wrong that faillisted means that go ogle won't index or crawl. Thanks.

What i is to cross check with some other sites like bannedcheck.com this site check on both Google SE and AdSense ban. Where BC could not give me any fail listed ones, NW does but the most feature i like about NW is the bulk search features

Ok, so bannedcheck states reconfirms that I am indexed, ( site:domainname.com) is the same thing... I think so that answers my question. Or does it? Why would anyone believe a website thats states otherwise? Am I missing something here? If google bans you, they deindex your site. Period. At least that is what I understand from all my reading elsewhere on SEO sites.

Faillisted instead can be used to screen if previous adult content resided on a domain.

@DzAH - You haven't yet posted your evidence which makes you suspect it is inaccurate or not updated.

I think the evidences are clear
1. my domain shows up in google search
2. it doesn't show up as banned by other services

Yet, Im not making claim of NW accuracy.. its just, how/why should I trust they are right? and if you are so sure NW is that accurate, how did you yourself confirm it to be accurate?

I also found that NW claims two of my other domains are not clean, nor banned, but classified as 'adult'. How to confirm, and what are the impacts?

btw.. now the NW's faillist search doesn't work at all?

The adult stigma, I would register the name in goog les webmaster tools as you own it, then verify backlinks, after discovering bad ones, ask for reconsideration. Use the disavow tools to submit a list of all bad backlinks that still are attached.

Before I take any actions I want confirmation if there actually are any problems. I do not wanna rely on any 3rd party tools that I dont know is accurate or not. How can I confirm it is consider 'adult'? Where does google or others claim so?

The domains are totally clean from my point of view. I did however hand registered them not long ago, so it is of cause possible old owners might have used them for such contents, and thereby been "tagged", but who know's? All that I know is there has not been anything 'adult' about them since I registered them.

I really wanna be sure about this, cuz I dont wanna end up selling unclean domains to someone.
