Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

VREOD.com Explosive Ordinance Demo/Disposal
360Lap.com

All I know is that if I was going to go through training in "Explosive Ordinance Disposal," I would definitely prefer learning in VR to live practice!!! ;)

^ in regards to the recent registration VR arcades are opening up across Australia in all the major capital city's. For the search term ''VR arcade" there are About 141,000 results.

The name could be for a new arcade, a game or even for a VR developer or a review site.

Cheers

Registered my first domain in long time.

VRExperiences dot org.

Saw it was available (must be a recent drop) so bought it and put it straight for sale in a NP auction.

If i don’t sell it, i don’t mind hanging on to it as i already have the .com.

Nice domain mate, yeah UK companies tend to go for .co.uk over .com.

You guys might want to chill out with all the "virtual" registrations. They don't sell well when referencing VR related products and services. Most "virtual" sales have been computer related like network, hosting and database related non-VR stuff.

So what you're saying is virtual domain names don't have as much demand and don't sell as well as Virtual Reality & VR domains?

So what you're saying is virtual domain names don't have as much demand and don't sell as well as Virtual Reality & VR domains?

The demand for "Virtual" names has been around before the return of VR. Yes there are more VR related sales lately, but most of the highest sales above $2,000 with "virtual" have been before 2014. I don't have proof, but I think that because they were sold before FB bought Oculus, it's safe to assume that most of those sales were likely not VR related, because interest in VR before 2014 was very, very low...so you can't use those sales to value the keyword in reference to VR.

This year there are a lot of low to mid xxx sales which may be between domainers, not end users. I would expect the value of the exceptionally good "virtual" domains to go up , but don't think they're going to be nearly as successful as VR and Virtual Reality domain sales when it comes to strictly VR related end users. But again, there will always be non-VR interest in that keyword.

I could be wrong...

Can only speak for myself but if i can get the very best keywords in ‘Virtual’ then i’ll take them and regard them as the best domains i own – The word ‘Virtual’ is everywhere right now when reading about VR/AR/MR so why can’t ‘Virtual’ domains represent these technologies?

I offered $11k for a ‘Virtual’ name once, Ali bought Virtual+Studio recently for close to 5 figures and seemed pleased with his buy, so quite confident he can make money from it.

I keep the hack Vir2.al which can be a shortener for any other Virtual service.
Also VirtualCarGlass, VirtualStopShop and VirtualYoMama for the genre lovers...
