Oh ok, then I should take my mind off :) I was looking at standard resell value, like 200-300, as 4L goes around here on the forums...

They are domainers and donΒ΄t sell their domains for cheap, but you can make an offer and get a quote :)

Please do...it will be interesting what they say. I'm sure no less than 800...may go as high as 2000 as their 'fishing' quote.

Hi Cristian,

My name is Vincent - I am a Domain Broker at Uniregistry and I represent the owner of utee.com. Based on many criteria, they have determined a value of 34,000.00 USD.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Do you know that word, HELL NO, he can keep it.
The value of my apartment is $50,000 and he wants $34,000 for a domain that is 4 char and contains 3 vowels.

Somebody needs to put the bottle down and walk away...a 4 letter non vowel, repeating pattern maybe that much...maybe.

Maybe they give it such a high value as a golf site...still too much.

Not everyone price their domains based on patterns. Some BIG BOYS just put a price and stick whit it ... OBEY.com price is almost $3 milllion dollars :)

Obey is a real word in 4 letters...completely different animal that a random group of letters. You are right though...the big boys can price what they want!

YouΒ΄re right but you get the point; domain valuation is different for everyone. For example: when I get an inquiry for a domain I would sell for letΒ΄s say $2,500 my first quote is always 10X bigger !

It is down to math.

They price their names at 34,000$ and probably would sell for $20K and even if they sell at 0.2% of 1000 names they might hold, that is $40K/year minus renewals of $9K. Compare it to selling at $2K average and 1% sell through to give them $20K/year minus $9K.

So nothing personal, but it might make sense for them to overpice this kind of names.

It's ok, I politely refused and search something else :)

Thank you guys.

I was assuming...I know what assUme means...that the op shared in the comments section that the inquiry came from a domainer and a wholesale price was what they were looking for.

From a retail (end user) standpoint, 34k might not be such a far out starting point...especially if the email came from a company selling things like: underwear, t-bars, epoxy and eggs. :xf.smile:

I crack me up...been up too long and time sleep before the drop...

Also, $xx,xxx might be fair for this name.

Remember that Tee means t-shirt and it is a big industry where you order t-shirts with logos, texts etc.

You could invest 20-30K into uTee and start a business with about 20-50K more in warehouse/office, equipment or just drop ship...
