This thread is a central location to report domain name sales of any dollar amount.

As much information as you can include about the transaction is welcome, but at a bare minimum please include the domain name(s), the sale price, and whether you were the seller.

Good luck with your sales!

Do not post only, "great sale" or similar as this doesn't contribute to the thread. (Don't reply for the sole purpose of complimenting.)
  • Tip: Use the Like/Thanks feature instead.

Questions are allowed, but do not post commentary. If you want to discuss or comment on a sale in this thread, quote it and then post it in the following thread instead:

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
VRComputing....com

$1,250 USD

Had a higher BIN offer with 10 days left at auction but declined offer. Thought there would be more traction at the end.

Still over 100% ROI. Held for about a year.

nice job! good vr keyword.. any great harm you can think of to share that bin offer? cheers.

$1,500

Probably could have got $2k with a competitive counter, but I genuinely thought it would sell $3k +

AirMedix / .com

$2400 Negotiated via my Landing Page. Original offer was $1000.00 I countered with $3000 and finalized it at $2400 after a few days back and forth. End User for an Air Conditioning Repairman

Purchased for $10 in NameSilo's expiring name market. Held about 8 months.

@JudgeMind this was the name we were discussing in the other thread that I was not prepared to post the name until all transfers were complete

Nice, Namesmax. Was the landing page BIN or make offer?
Very surprised at the end user application. Thought it'd go to some EM type medical service.
But cash is cash! :)

Usually you can check WHOIS after a sale to find out the buyer (if not private)

WHOIS last updated: April 27th 2017

I see @sam roy had it listed for sale on NP March 7, 2017 HERE
upload_2017-6-15_17-42-13.png

Then I see a NP external Flippa listing from @Federer on April 19, 2017 HERE

upload_2017-6-15_17-45-0.png

The Flippa auction sold for $480 (51 days ago)

upload_2017-6-15_17-46-58.png

The last bid (bidder 1) was placed April 25th. (Two days before last WHOIS update)

Does anybody see how this reported $2250 .info sale on NamePros is legit? I'm not saying it's fake, just trying to see a scenario where this is real ;)

Edit: Tagging @FlippaDomains should they care to comment and/or look into bidding patterns / history. Previous WHOIS owner and new WHOIS owner both from India (1600 kilometer distance between WHOIS cities) Not saying that's a red flag, just pointing out additional info.

But cash is cash! :)

It was a make offer page. When I purchased it I was figuring an air ambulance service. In the offer I get a name, phone number and email. It was a generic email, so that gave me no info, so I reverse caller id'd the phone number. Found the name and city (in NC), then I Google the name which came back to a director of a hospital in Tampa. So I was still thinking medical.

My return email laid out that it would be a great Brandable name in many industries; Air ambulance, Aircraft repair, Air Conditioning repair etc. I was laying out the competition for the name. I then asked him to reconsider his offer. I did not, yet make a counter offer.

He used a different email address when he offered the $2,400. It was one from his work, a local hvac service and sales co. I then realized I wasn't going to get $xx,xxx out of him and countered with the $3,000. I couldn't get him up more than that. I even offered a lease purchase (via Epik.com) He did not seem to understand and I felt I was scaring him off so I accepted the $2,400. He was rebranding his mom and pop ac company.

If I had found an air ambulance service it would have been able to bring more, but what are the chances of finding a new start up at just the right time to name their company or rebrand an existing one? $10 to $2,400 in less than a year with no commissions. I took it with a smile.

How did he come across the domain? Just by type in?

Congrats on the buy/sell!

I remember when this domain sold. Below is a little snippet of a conversation I had with another NP member regarding that domain in 2015.

I had belief on some of the domains which eventually sell. DataDuck was one of them. The seller was very patient, I couldn't pay for 3-4 days and he gave me time as at the time of closing auction I was out of town and couldn't pay him at the required time.

Was that NP Sale before or after it sold on Flippa for $480 on April 25, 2017?

Great sale. Where do you park domains?

I don't. I use landing pages from Efty. I also list them at Afternic and Sedo.
How do you manage the nameserver at Afternic and sedo at the same time for a single name or is it possible to list this domains there without changing name server?

Sure. You list with them and choose just one nameserver for your landing page

Will my domain name go life at sedo after listing it there if it has afternic nameserver?
