From now until 23:59 30/06/17, using code FREETRANSFER to get a FREE domain transfer at LCN.

>> Transfer link: https://www.lcn.com/domain-names/transfers

The promo code is applicable on a single domain transfer for .com, .net and .org extensions only. One use per customer.

Besides, if you wanna transfer more domains, LCN is offering the lowest rate for .NET and .ORG domain - only £5 each (about $6.39). Using US dollar to make payment, the price will be reduced to only $6.19 each.

  • Paypal is not available here, only Credit Card accepted.
  • Free domain privacy.
Enjoy!

Thanks. Any experience with them?

Anyone used this registrar, what are they like?

Never use services here but LCN is kind of an old provider found in 1999, famous in UK.

Domain pricing is very clear (for pricng, additonal domain services, transfer in/out process) with no hiden fee >> https://www.lcn.com/domain-names/pricing

They might be a good choice, not scam company for sure!

Only because I have a couple ORGs to renew, I just set up account and started transfer for two domains. Used the coupon and paid for the other all while registering new account. They commented here themselves, to confirm there were no transfer out gotchas, will look for those comments.

Nice thing you can enter the domains and pay to start process, then wait for the emails before having to dig for Auth Code.

OK since @Ricky LCN only ever posted twice, here they are:

Hi guys, I'm Ricky, I do all things social and marketing over at LCN.com

I just wanted to first say thank you for all the nice comments said about us in this thread, and to also apologise for the confusion about us charging for a change of owner/contacts on gTLDs.

I can categorically confirm we do not charge for registrant owner/contact changes. The £20/$24.99 price you saw was a mistake on our behalf. This has now been updated to show as FREE at lcn.com/domain-names/pricing

If you have any questions about our prices, please don't hesitate to leave a message here, contact us at lcn.com/contact, or give us a shout on our social profiles @lcndotcom

Hi fbchoc. I'm one of the marketing drones over at LCN, and I just wanted to pop in and confirm our reg/renewal prices for you. gTLD (COM, ORG, NET, BIZ) prices are as follows...

1 year: £9.95 / $12.39
2 years: £18.95 / $23.59

Full details of our domain reg and renewal prices (always the same!) can be found here: lcn.com/domain-names/pricing

Just shout if you have any questions. Thanks!

Ricky LCN was last seen: Dec 13, 2016 - Maybe he will return to support this promo : grin :
Looks like the $6.19 transfer price is always for COM NET ORG INFO

Do you have any adblockers installed? I've seen that ad blockers can sometimes interfere with a page fully rendering. Try turning them off and reloading the page to see if it helps

@elmoney - OK that is the only place I saw a field to enter a CVV security code. With that card then on file, then if I go to cart , it shows a box for the CVV code - can you screenshot your cart or checkout page (and protect sensitive info)

Just initiated the transfer of a .com from Netfirms for free. Got the link to enter the auth code almost immediately, no issues so far.
Thanks again for this share @luantt :xf.cool:

I just tried to transfer a .net. It looks as if they may be a bit expensive for me (apart from the free transfer) as they charge VAT, and I'm not VAT registered. Also they wanted credit card details, and I'm not sure if I want to use my Sterling account, or my dollar account at the moment.

I've put things on hold for the moment, as I noticed I've got the wrong email in the reg details, and I'll watch out for some more feedback.

Transfer out shouldn't be a problem for any extension according to the FAQ and it's free too.

Chat support is always helpful and prompt. No issues I can think of.

Thanks for great post. I already started to give a try. They will charge 0.01 GBP to validate on card. Transaction on statement appears as lowcostnames.com.uk

Update:
I already started my free test on a .net domain, process gone smoothly, authorization code accepted. Everything seems to be OK

lowcostnames.com.uk seems to be reported as inactive.

it should be their old name or inactive one, LCN should be abbreviation for Low Cost Names though so no worry.
