Do you guys have the same experience?
I have like 1/2 the rate I used to have in 2016! Anyone else?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Same here. Lots of tire kickers.

For months, I haven't had to page down to see the whole Sedo list for sales over $2,000.

I'm actually stronger this year on inquiries, sales and ROI so far over last year. Passive seller using my own sales pages. But to avoid jinxing myself I'll leave it at that.

My 2017 is better than my 2016 and that was a pretty good year too. And this year I use various methods to avoid tire kickers so it's less work as well.

Soft sales for me as well, but I have been busy with other things since new year. Sold a .com yesterday though.

I will focus more on domaining again. From now...

I've had more inbound offers, and higher offers - but I've been saying 'no' a lot as well turning down $x,xxx and $xx,xxx offers. Maybe I will say yes more in Q3 & Q4 but time will tell.

im just over 200 names, but i'm really picky - sold a variety of places. GD, SEDO, Direct, etc.

i only counted the names that sold in the $x,xxx range

Not a bad year to date with numerous inbound offers, and one sizeable offer/sold domain recently. With the rest of the year ahead of us, and if things keep ticking over nicely, it will better last year.

For me its going slowly as well, the beginning of the year was very good, but april and may were very bad, a lot of price request or low offers, nothing major and a lot of end users postponing buys...or ask to reserve the name for couple of months...and it's not just one marketplace, afternic and sedo are down, BB I think is very slow. Mostly private inquiries but on the low side.

Do most inquiries come via DefinitelyDomains.com?

A few have yes, and to be honest it is well worth creating some sort of portfolio. I started using Twitter a few months back and people pick it up from there. Focusing on promoting the site via organic SEO over the next few months, but that's another story.

My sell thru rate is about the same as last year but due to increases and refinements in my portfolio I'm up 80% in gross revenues year over year.

My sales are primarily via BrandBucket but my two biggest sales of this year have been via private negotiations. So it's a mixed bag.

More low offers, few sales, 2016 was better, will see second half.

Good luck all

Pretty much on par with last year. At this time last year we had 19 sales; YTD 2017 we've had 17 sales, all sold via BIN except for two domains. The big difference is the average gross sale is up: Last year at this time it was $1428. This year the average gross sale is $2023, which is nice.

Good luck everyone for the remainder of 2017.

From about $20k in sales last year to absolute zero so far this year. No offers, one inquiry and one potential small sale on the horizon. No idea why...

Very slow half of 2017 so far. Nowhere near to what it was last year at same time.
Most probably the reason behind is new gTLDs and once the noise is cleared, I expect to see things getting better.

Interesting to see you have put up lot of BINs on your site and still making the average sale of $2023 which is quite impressive. Although it seems you have over 1,600 domains if I'm not wrong.

Best wishes!

Unless I'm marketing my names heavily I've had very few sales.

My sales have gone up on domains ranging in the 1000-5000 price. Haven't had any above 5k yet this year, which is bad bad bad! Maybe one of my auctions will hit reserve :)
