Guess what?

This morning, I see sceos.com available for reg. Both .INFO and .ORG taken, both redirecting to the same .DE company. No money on the card ... so few hours later I went to the bank to add some funds. Came back to the computer, to register the name. It was taken ... and it is listed now @Sedo for $ 5,000.

Imagine another guy was minutes faster to his bank after discovering at the same time that he likes the name and his card declined )

Always make sure to have a bank with a branch nearby ;)

I don't know about this one. I think the person who registered it may have done you a favor. Don't see the value in this name, and the company seems to know enough about domains to have backordered it for a nominal fee if they really wanted it. I am sure the domain they would really want is the .de, which they already have. It would have some value if they plan on having a US presence; otherwise it seems to be worthless.

That's just one man's opinion. Does anyone else have a different take?

Shoulda, woulda, coulda. Many years ago I had a domain that later sold for $250,000 in my shopping cart at GoDaddy and opted against registering the domain as well as turning down thousands of a certain something. Props to anyone who can guess the domain or what I'm on about. :)

Then you wonder if the ones that are still available are only the sh*tty ones...

There's always opportunities, may need to have the ability to see the future though first. :D BitcoinWallet.com, SelfieStick.com, Cloud.io, Bitcoin.com, CrowdFunding.com, 4N.com, 5N.com, CCCC.com, a lot of example domains that were registered after the golden years and are now worth a heck of a lot of money.

Ok, that one was easy I guess based on what I wrote. :P Erm.. the satisfaction of winning? :D

satisfaction of winning and a 6 figure domain would be fine

I hate leaving domains in cart as they tend to get registered by others when compiling lists so just try to put them though if do too many transactions in a day not on amount the card becomes locked a day or until contact bank. I have lost names a few times because of it.

Once I was going to register mealmade.com, then I just bought some other good available domains I had on a list and just didn't go with that particular one. Then it was regged by someone else, and shortly after it sold for $2,500.

If you're a chronic hand regger it happens all the time..

May be it's never meant to be for you.. Just move on...

There's always another domain. And there will always be.

You probably even lost more than that. This is one of the few you could 'identify'

It happened to me, i registered the mis spelled version, when i was going to register the correct spelling version, it was just registered. I contacted the owner who offered me for USD 10,000. One year later, i saw it in Expired domain auction, which i won for USD 125.
