The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Why is there a time limit to edit your own posts? This should only be in place for sales threads...

Wtf. Why can't posts be edited?

Post have 30 min to be edited.

Click the 'report' option in the post, and ask a mod to edit out the name, if that's what you're after.

I'm after controlling my content, be it in 30 mins or 30 days. Unless there are some changes, my contributions here are done.

The limited edit time for posts has been in place for quite a long time. Surprised you're just now realizing it.

Congrats on your name sales. Best of luck as you move on from NP. Cheers!

I normally post and forget about it but was shocked when the option was gone. Really no reason to have a time limit for edits.

Many here on NP, including myself, appreciate your contributions. It would be disappointing if you stopped contributing, especially for such a nonsensical reason. We haven't been able to edit posts beyond a 30 min duration for at least a year or more. Seems a moot point to be bothered by it now, IMO.

Might be a good topic for the NP suggestion thread...

I agree. This should be revisited. Can't see much downside but can see a huge upside. I'd like to know what I'm missing- why did this rule change?
I can respect the fact that NP now "owns" these words by way of the TOS, but why make it so we can't delete our own content? I'm sure you can keep your own copy of every single word and still allow members to self-regulate their content....
