Hi, very new to this. I'm trying to learn as much as possible in the event that I'm able to sell some names.
(great posts on the transfer process, btw)
After looking into transferring from Namecheap, I found this:
Does anyone know if this is accurate/enforced? I have to sit on a name for 2 months before attempting to sell or is there a way around it? Are there better/easier places to buy than Namecheap?
Thanks for any input.

Before initiating the transfer make sure that the following applies to the domain:
  • The domain is more than 60 days old;
  • The domain was not transferred between registrars within the last 60 days;
  • The domain is "Unlocked" for transfer ("Registrar Lock" is disabled);
  • WhoisGuard is disabled;
  • The domain is showing valid and up-to-date information for the Administrative and Registrant contacts in the WHOIS.

Hi

don't be impatient

60 days is your cooling off period

you're so frantic to register, thinking you're going to get an offer the next day.

let's say you did
then you'd be right back here that day..... asking how much should you ask for the name.

there might be other questions too

so, take those 60 days to get as much info, ahead of any anticipated sale...so you won't "look like" you've never done it before.

:)

Good Luck!

imo...

You can list and sell your names, but you would have to coordinate with the buyer, for him to get an account at Namecheap and receive the domain there.
