Thank You for an awesome Forum I am relatively a newbie on the forum and I have to say the experience and knowledge from fellow members have been welcoming and just Brilliant .

My name is Naomi Adams
I am formerly from Northern Ireland and currently based in South Africa ,returning to Northern Ireland soon.
I am a novice, who is eager and willing to learn, this forum has just been a wealth of information.
I would love to learn domain history, best buying , selling strategies, and how to look into data regarding the assets I buy and sell.
I am currently working on trying to build a good portfolio of Domains ,and yes I am prepared to experiment with strategies.
My short-term goals in the next year is more about learning the do's and the don'ts in the industry
My long-term goals in the next 5 years is to travel and meet knew members within the Industry and yes make it profitable as possible.

I started investing in domains because I watched my hubby do a few sales of domains with friends and family ,he did mostly to help them out ,amazingly enough the challenge of going through data and Information was something I found very interesting.
I would love to see the market place evolve with more analytics and information to assist in decisions.
My predictions for coming trends, emoji domains will be used frequently for marketing and redirects .
I know many are skeptical about the emoji buzz ,but I have the patience and believe trends and technologies evolve daily so there is a time and place for everything ,I would like to add the support I have received from @Jon Roig with a portfolio of emoji domains we have purchased has been outstanding.

The thing I enjoy most about domaining is the wealth of Information From people like @Eric Lyon and namespros members, DomainSherpa and a few other sites .

My funniest domain story
mmmm my funniest story would have to be on this site ,we had purchased some domains in the day so our paypal account was maxed out and I was left with to be exact $20.14 in my account ,not looking to purchase ,and by now addicted to this forum ,I now see a domain that catches my fancy ,so my exact words to the seller was the following, being honest me :
"I wish i was not so addicted to buying domains I have my last $20 in my paypal account if I had 27 which is Bin I would have bought it in a blink"
The Seller :
"LOL, I think that is one of the best negotiation tricks I have ever come across.
For your audacity, I will grant it to you in $25."
The seller was great when I said to him this is Africa and we only have one account linked to our paypal account I was going to top up the next day, where I would need to go into the bank and transfer funds, he was brilliant and fast saying no problem send me $20 now and $5 the next day ,which I did and concluded the transaction.
My hubby burst out laughing when I said can you believe that when I speak the truth it can be understood as a trick. I was like wow ,hubby was laughing like crazy saying so much for telling a total stranger of exactly to the cent of how much I had left in my PayPal account.
After this Hubby has topped up my PayPal and have me on strict budget lol.

I delegate my hubby to bid on Auctions and prefer more data mining ,I love Domaining and Thank you namespro for an awesome platform.

I have five trade reviews on this site and all of the sellers have been honest and awesome ,Thank you to everyone,I have not done a sale on the forum yet but I am hoping that I can do a sale here soon so hold thumbs and wish me luck.
I would appreciate any advice and only take criticism as constructive, I am not offended easily ,I guess that is in my Irish Genes :)

Welcome to NamePros!

It's always nice to see new members primed up and ready to research first before taking too big of a plunge too fast. Testing the markets is an awesome way to follow up on that research and determine which one is best for you. While there is a wealth of information on NamePros, each member/investor/start-up should pick apart bits and pieces of each to create a custom tailored and targetted strategy that works for them.

As we all know, what works for one, generally doesn't always work for others. Especially since you're investing in an industry that you want to specialize in something in to build a solid foundation first. One should start with a niche they have the most knowledge in already. Doing so helps the transition and expansion into new markets and testing easier since they will already have a foundation built to springboard from.

I look forward to seeing you around.

Wow .. longest intro ever! lol

Welcome to NamePros! :)

I'm in the middle in terms of my opinion on emoji domains ... they can never be used as a main website .. but there's still plenty of money around for marketing campaigns to make them have some potential. My biggest reservation against them .. is that the moment they become available in .com and other better TLD's than .ws, then the current emoji market in lower tier TLD's will melt away as the emoji money flows to the .com versions. Also .. the multiple skin tones variants are pretty much a killer to any marketing campaign unless you own ALL the variants to avoid bleed.

On that note however .. although I don't own any emoji domains, I do actually own eroji.com .. lol

As for the rest .. you seem to be on the right track gathering up knowledge .. best of luck in your domaining adventure moving forward! :)
