My wife asked me to buy the thebariatricnurse.com a little while back. She just finished nursing school, and will be a bariatric nurse . . . It got me to thinking, do any of you domain with your wives? Do you ever get ideas/suggestions from them? Ironically, my wife does NOT like very many of my domains . . . she would fit right in here with NP:) Continuing with the irony . . . my guess is NP will like my wife's first reg waaaaaay more than mine . . . even if baricatricnurse.com is available;)

I would not register a domain with the word "the" in it.

baricatricnurse.com - is misspelled but I'm guessing you knew that ;)

HeHe, I was going to wait until someone registered it before posting this :xf.rolleyes:

LOL I accidentally misspelled it here.

She followed theresillientnurse.com and I guess it helped her through nursing school!!

Who's got time for a wife?
My plan is to grow up old and alone surrounded by premium .coms that hopefully learn how to cook for me.

My wife is a teacher, and she knew almost nothing about domains, but now she thinks she does. Sometimes having a second eye helps, other times, it can be a disaster. Here is an anecdote, I got an offer of 150K for a domain name 15 months ago. The buyer was ready to do Escrow after 2 weeks of negotiating but she insisted that I should go for 200K. I countered with a firm 175K and he walked. I didn't contact them thinking that it's a delay tactic but they did move on. Of course.:banghead: We needed the money BADLY, and she knew the risk but I guess she's a gambler and I got a bit greedy as well, even though I was willing to let it go for the offered price. I'm not sure what's the point of the above, but yeah, if you have enough experience and you know better, you don't listen to an inexperienced loved one even though she/he has your best interest at heart.

You only need one domain name for that. Wife.com could keep you nice and warm all your life.
But Wives.com may hit the sweet spot. :xf.grin: if you're a polygamist.
Then again, if you don't believe in marriage or being tied down, Girlfriend/s.com would be what the doctor ordered! Nothing beats a domainer's life, full of imagination and craziness and a whole lot of dreams.

Nah... I'm a widower, 3 times over...

My darling first wife died from eating poisonous mushrooms that she found in our Garden :grumpy:
Coincidently my second wife also passed away from eating the same freaking mushrooms... :sour::grumpy:

My third wife passed away from a bump on the head......the stupid cow didn't want to eat the mushrooms! :xf.grin:

HAHA good one.
I almost started to write my condolences and how awful it must be, until the above.
If a mushroom does not kill you, a bump on the head should do the job nicely.

Never get your wife involve in your business (your girlfriend is OK). Let them do what they do best:

1. Complain Machine - They can complain all day long without getting tired

2. GPS Machine - There is no need for battery and they always tell you the wrong direction - The worse thing is you can't turn it off.....

I gave my partner GoofyCat.com , but she hasn't done much with it yet. I gave her a couple of gardening names as well, but she keeps making me take her to garden centres for "research". :)

Lol... buy a domain called PubCrawling.com/net/whatever - then go out drinking with the guys as often as you want... say you doing "research" :)

My wife still has no use for domaining, even though when she saw the checks being deposited, she still cant convince herself that you can get payouts from virtually doing nonthing but waiting for the ship to come in. Yes people will say it is hard work, but not what I do, I just wait for the next Big wave, wether its health reform or some other thing that hits the news.

Work is what I do at lowes, lifting beams all day, and barely able to walk at the end of the day.
I am by no means independently wealthy but stay in the black.

My wife does not care for it all that much, she did appreciate having an exact keyword matching domain in her niche while she was working from home when the kids were younger. Besides that she does enjoy the sales. Lol She also complains about the xxx sales, says I sell to cheap sometimes.

Actually she did ask me to register VirtualSteering/ com last week. So maybe after all this time she is a little interested in my hobby...

I thought they tend hate it by default but if it makes money and buys nice things it's OK.

It is also control thing. She feels that it is not as reliable as real estate, for example. And if something happens to me, all that investment would be gone as well... She does have a point about that though...
