Hi everyone,

I recently registered a few .plus domains. As far as I know this extension is everything else than popular as it has only few registrations so far (about 8K) compared to other new gTLD extensions. I chose .plus because I want to use the domains for product affiliate marketing sites which I am currently developing (don't wanna sell the domains). Any other extension either does not match with my keyword or the keyword itself was already registered. Product.plus seems the best way to go in my opinion and I think my names are much more catchy than SomethingSomethingHyphenWhatever.com or .de. In Germany a plus extension related to products is very common and defines some kind of extra value. I wonder how this is in the US and what you think about this extension in general and if it could be used on the US market for this purpose as well.
I always liked catchy names and I don't have the budget for getting similar .coms or .des (which also wouldn't make much sense for my purpose). So I am quite happy which these domains. Question is, are they worth it and do they have any future perspective? I am not a domain expert, therefore I would really appreciate any advice.

Would have done that, but all nice pro domains are already gone (at least for my purpose). It's a great extension at low renewal costs. However, I am trying to use strong partial match keywords in my domain and focus more on the branding. Examples would be smartphone.plus, television.plus, tablets.plus, vector.plus, etc. which I registered recently. I really would like to understand why this extension is not on the list of domainers. In my opinion it's a beautiful extension that adds value to the domainname/keyword. You can use it perfectly for brands and products. But people rather register tons of ugly .xyz extensions. I just don't get it :) Probably the pricing of .plus was and still is too high or the meaning is different in the US than in Germany. Would appreciate to get some opinions on that.

1,XXX TLDs exist nowadays...
Most domainers are investing only in major TLDs (where real and stable enduser demand)...
All other TLDs - usually for enthusiasts... or for gamblers...

Regarding .xyz
Most were regged by NOT domainers - but by spammers, phishers, doorway builders, beginners, Chineses etc.

same for .top

@evo.domains .plus is ok if you want develop your domain into a project.
If .plus fits with your keyword, great.
Google does not matter extension, if you make a good seo job you can rank like every other (100+ time expensive than your) domain.

Certainly, if it fits with product's name - it can be or even should be used (at least for redirect)...
.plus is just another niched TLD in terms of its usage... That's why investments are very limited here.

Regarding .TOP
It is still unsupported by GoDaddy, most endusers even don't know about this TLD.

For example, .TOP is actively supported by Russian registrars...
That's why I see some traffic from Russia on them and already received $1K offer from Moscow (non-English keyword).
