The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I use a notepad. It works great, for me at least.

My System = Absolute Chaos ... I'm that guy in the office who has EVERYTHING on his desk. It looks like a tornado and the only person that knows what's going on there is me. :)

DomainPunch V3 seems a very good one. Sorry, but my account does not allow me to post links. Just google it.

That's why I won't

Research? For who?

Why?

I used to rely on notepad and my memory but after 800 or so domains it got a bit problematic. Now I use Trello which is a project management platform but works great for domain management as well.

My sales sites scripts all have databases so everything gets entered upon purchase domain, registrar, expiration, purchase date, category etc... some update this automatically and others I have to manually update expiration date when renewed. My 80+ domains used for developed sites get entered as well just to keep track of expiration dates but I hide them from being listed on the sales sites as not for sale.

Making things even easier I also use GoDaddy & Godaddy resellers consolidate feature where you can pay to advance expiration dates by the month instead of year. So if you have 600 domains you can use that to achieve 50 renewals a month so each month has the same fixed costs instead of 100 domains being due 1 month and 10 being due the next month. So between my own sites databases, consolidate feature and shifting everything to 1-2 registrars I'm very organized with the same fixed renewal costs every month.

I created a database system for my needs
as nobody else was offering anything that could do it
that way I need it

its for me.. without turning this into a "sales" thread i have created a system which is much more advanced then your average notepad and continue to roll out updates.. (google my user name if you wish) i have a few active licenses and personally use it for my day to day - i really am curious on how people manage their sites/domains

notepad / notes seems a common trend - does anyone use an actual management system?

thanks

I use a homemade DB backend.
But for basic needs an Excel sheet can be enough. The minimum is to track each domain name along with anniversary dates + current registrar + comments.

Can't remember anything about the course tho lol

Efty man, efty.

That was a game changer for me. Other ways and platforms I tried were so tedious and wasted so much time and still didn't do everything I wanted.

Excel spreadsheet is all you need to manage domains.

Welcome to NP,

Are you here to market your own domain portfolio management system.

I don't know why you are asking?

When you already made this.

thanks to the person who posted a link to my site.. (woohoo freee promotion)

No im genuinely drumming up conversation related to how everyone manages domains.. so i think that last few replied and that meme are unfair..

back to the POINT of this thread..

someone who uses excel? what calculations are you doing to look after your site? P/L? just tracking renewals?

looks like a good marketplace system

Im talking about management of your domains.. so tracking a domain asset - your P/L (profit/ loss) your expenses, renewals - revenue (adsense), sales (one of sales such as digital goods)
