How do you value your own domains?

What's your portfolio worth?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Weird wonder how it was valued?

1% of domainers own 99% of premium domains. Yet, 99% of domainers are sold the dream that they can become rich like the 1%.

great folio
values are as always at least a bit subjective.. and that's okay

hmmm is it just me or RS does not even bother to make money off the great typin traffic domains he owns? like parking those domains. cheers.

iMurder.com $800,000 would do well with iMurderer which you can now get for 10 bucks. I will have to add a few zeros to my i domain pricing.:xf.wink:

God damn there's premium names there. Although some of the valuations are a bit wayward I think.

The merit of each domain is what brings the traffic. If the domain has a lot of type ins then there is traffic but it is traffic for the keyword searched for. The name "Rick Schwartz" is what brings the domain target traffic. A sales record like that and you can add a few zeros here and there.

One domain name there is worth more than the whole portfolio combined if developed by a tech entrepreneur

The concept

A website for the unemployed

Made for the unemployed by the unemployed

The ad $'s generated from such a website on unemployed dot com would pay for that domain name and create a few quid for every unemployed person globally

Such a simple concept but could easily be a multi billion $ website if ran managed by fb or the big G

Bestodds dot com in that portfolio is far too cheap

In the uk there are bookies that offer the best odds etc

Virtually most top darts tournaments are sponsored by bookies in the uk
There are a few bookies in the uk worth more than $1b and even $2m + etc is loose change to them

$500 Million ..... if they use Mike Mann's pricing model then it would be $5 Billion :xf.grin:

iMurder.com valued at $800,000 ???

Had yet another look and some of those near the bottom of that list are priced way too cheap

But homemade dot com is good but read his tweets and rs was offered homework.com in his thread for $1m domains which will eventually be a global homework website and there will be a queue of buyers with very deep pockets wanting homework dot com but not sure if rs bought it or not but it's extremely cheap at $1m

Impressing, this is indeed a powerful portfolio.

I don't own such a portfolio but I am pleasured to own (beside my own portfolio) one single domain which alone worths more than all his domains together.

Yes, this is 100 % true.

My valuation is based on the untoppable status and therefore the ultimate meaning of the domain itself.
It's galactic value is the logical result of undeniable semantics / mathemathics.

I reckon your domain will go down in history as being one of the most memorable in the domaining era

Do you own the. Top registry?

You might need to in time just to be able to keep the most expensive domain

Well, most meorable because most expensive.

I don't (need to) own the .top registry, I am a private person.
Does Mr. Schwartz (need to) own Verisign? No ;)

The potential buyers for some of rs portfolio are listed in the top 20 richest people on the planet

They won't be phased by $1m domain name asking price

They have personal wealth of $40b Each $50b $72b and $86b

Check forbes billionaires list

As much as they need want and need the right domain name etc it's the multi billion dollar website they build on the $1m+ domain that adds value to the domain

POTATO.COM ??

Forget potato .com's - I am talking about the highest possible domain in history of mankind:

TOPTOPTOPTOPTOPTOPTOPTOPTOPTOPTOPTOPTOPTOPTOPTOPTOPTOPTOPTOPTOP.TOP
toptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptop.top

This
mindblowwwing domain is not a 'normal domain' - it is 'much more than a domain'.
It contains exactly
21 times top (left side of the dot) - this is the highest possible number of the highest possible superlative, top, in a domain name while it ends with the highest possible TLD .top at the same time.
Also at the same time it has
exactly 63 characters (left side of the dot) - this is the highest possible number of characters a domain name can have.

top = 3 characters
21 x top = highest possible number of the highest possible superlative, top, in a domain
21 x 3 characters = 63 characters = highest possible number of characters in a domain name
TLD
.top = highest possible TLD

Those facts are
the obvious and clear proofs that it is 100 % not possible to top this domain.
This means, this domain is
the one and only domain which (can) exist(s) which can't be topped by any other domain - equal which one.
And this means, it is
100 % the one and only domain which (can) top(s) every other domain which (can) exist(s).
So, surely, this is
the highest domain of all time.

Let's just say if the domain name industry ship was to sink in time lol the bit of the ship that was below water would be the gtlds and the little bit still visible above sea level would be dot com 's lol

These domains sound familiar .. oh wait .. that's because we already had this conversation! ;)

https://www.namepros.com/threads/ri...s-domain-name-portfolio.1014505/#post-6116869

Some absolutely fantastic domains .. and some insanely overvalued ...

iMurder.com at $800k? I wouldn't even think of purchasing that at $800 (no k at the end) .. end user price of $8k I couldn't even see. Heck I'd think even Murder.com would have a very difficult time ever getting $800k!

1.8M for both cheapest.com and middleman.com are way over as well.

Don't get me wrong .. some amazing names .. but some at extreme longshot prices .. if those evaluations represent the rest of the valuations of his 7000 domains, then that half billion portfolio value is at least 2x to 5x what it really should be. Still .. ridiculously amazing value in that portfolio!
