Beginning today, all members with a VIP badge or Upgraded Account are able to create additional marketplace listings in our Exclusive Domains for Sale (EDFS) section. All active marketplace listings in EDFS will not count toward your existing limits in the other marketplace sections.

Here's the breakdown:

Business Accounts are able to create an additional six (6) marketplace listings in EDFS, which means that they can have a total of 12 active listings of domains for sale at any point in time.
VIP members are able to create an additional three (3) marketplace listings in EDFS, which means that they can have a total of 6 active listings of domains for sale at any point in time.
For a limited time, NamePros Supporters may access this area and create an additional four (4) listings in EDFS, which is a total of 8 active listings at any point in time.

As always, all accepted submissions in Top Domains do not count toward any of your limits (you can have an unlimited number of domains in Top Domains, but they must fit the category and be chosen for Top Domains).

Best of all, every EDFS listing of domain(s) for sale will also appear with all other domain listings on our Buy Domains page, which shows every domain for sale on NamePros. However, only VIPs and Upgraded Accounts will be able to see the exclusive listings, because exclusive listings are not accessible to anyone else, including search engines (extra privacy).

Here is the update (bold) that was made to our Account Upgrades page:

We don't have a way to determine the exact number, because VIP badges are only assigned to recently active members, so if they qualify to be a VIP (but haven't logged in recently), the badge wouldn't be assigned to them until they login again. We can only search by members with the badge currently (Not those that would qualify for it once they login).

There are a few thousand VIP and Business Members actively using NamePros. Unfortunately, we don't have a number for how many there would be total if/when they all log in. Our forum software only processes recently active members for optimization purposes.

You can think of the additional listings as freebies. It can't hurt to use them up and conduct more deals with VIP/Business members.

I figured the number would be hard to come up with.. so I thought a rough figure could be had... say 10% of all members.. vip+biz.. something like that.

and yes, definitely should think of these as extra freebies visible to more serious and reliable np members.. so definitely can't hurt as you say

Very very nice incentive.
I remember selling quite a bit on here and I think it was only 2 sales at a time back then. Either way, being able to have any additional sales listings are pretty awesome.

It's good enhancement thank you for that..

Would it be better to have exclusive auctions visible to everyone but be created only by privileged members. So it would encourage newcomers to get more involved in auctions and involve more to gain privilege in order to get additional rights.

I need to read thru it again but:

"Buy and sell domains without publicizing it to the public or regular members"

Wouldn't that mean less eyeballs? If I have a domain, I can put it there where only vip and upgraded accounts see it, or in public where vips, upgraded accounts and everybody else can see it.

I also noticed you have threads from 2014 and 2015 in that section - https://www.namepros.com/forums/exclusive-domains-for-sale.308/

There are 4 threads from 2014/2015 and all the people that started them aren't around anymore, besides being outdated.

Is this anything goes in that section? Buy nows with specific price, make offer posts? But not auctions right?

Maybe also a sticky Rules post specifically for that section, going thru some of the questions asked in this thread and whatever else needs to be addressed.

Did, I understand correctly, that people with regular accounts (non-business non-established non-vip) will not see our domains listed in the exclusive section? Also, can you confirm whether or not it will be indexed in google?

It's always good to see NP trying new things, but as a seller I probably wouldn't want to limit the potential buyers of my names. If I wanted to, I could just do it by inserting a condition in a normal listing: "Only Business and/or VIP members can participate."
