I think the net sold recent at auction for over $1,000 and is reg to Frank Schilling (I think) or his business name. This org name was dropped after 6 years according domain tools. Since I run woodpelletfuel.org with great serp's this can make a good addition. I find it boring though.

Kind of a play on words . . . I immediately thought Sister Act, which has nothing to do with sister hack lol. Just the sound. Like sister hack flows super great. Then I thought of how the word "hack" has kind of blown up. I just thought there could be some great potential for a show, company, blog, group, etc.

There is something to be said for trying to duplicate domain names that sell for good prices. However, there are basic elements you should be looking at. Who will you sell it to or how will you sell it? Searches (0), CPC (0), even Estibot (0) <--not that this matters much. Now FunktionOne is Searches (475), CPC (.47), Estibot ($2800) <---not that this matters much. Anyway, hand registering valuable domains is hard other than brandables which take forever to sell usually. Remember, most all truly valuable .com domains are already registered.

Okay thank you for explaining. I really do appreciate the feedback. It means a lot to me that even though I reg what most of you think are bad names, you still entertain my questions! I am hopeful that maybe just maybe a handful of domains will hit the block for me, and enable me to come into the black.

I register bad names each day along with some gems and been doing it for 20 years. It is all about fine tuning sometimes things pan out sometimes you guess wrong future.

That does make sense. I don't expect to hand reg a domain and sell it for XXXXX or even XXXX for the most part. I do think XXX is certainly doable for some of my domains. Because all (almost) my domains are hand reg I am in a spot where I get into the black by selling 10% of the domains for low XXX. If I sold 10% at mid XXX Id more than double my money. Now due to volume and dealing with privacy and 2 year registrations I am at a little higher price point than what the pros would be for same volume of hand regs.

I agree with @Silentptnr However I tend to simplify things because I believe that every domain was once handregged. Today it is hard to handreg a valuable domain but it is not impossible.
