Hello, I was wondering...over the years I kept seeing posts like "$xxxxxx offer received" but NO ONE provides proof of that "offer", I belive this as a huge issue because people can easily lie, so here I am proposing to staff adding a new rule:
- If you have received a previous offer you have to provide proof in your sale thread (screenshot or video), by not doing that NamePros staff reserves the right to <insert here what measures NP staff will take>. Buyer also reserves the right to request a screen share proof (like: team viewer or similar tools), if seller cannot provide irrefutable proof the buyer may retract their offer.

The last part is because a screenshot and even a video can very easily be faked, but a screen share cannot.
I'm proposing this new rule because NP is a free forum and we see more and more people joining faster than ever.

Seen the title..."$100k offer received, but I'm gonna accept $100!!"..was wondering why you would accept $100.00 instead of a 100,000..

Then I read your first posting..when I see those type of postings, I just think it is talk (sale talk like from a used car salesman)

Ignore claims about previous offers. Problem solved. :-P

There is a current member active on namepros who bought a 4L.com (non chip) at namepros for $270, next day he PM'ed me asking me to purchase it, saying he had a $2K offer on it, and he is not accepting anything less than 4 figure offers. Somewhat new member, from overseas, fair enough he might, but odds are he is bluffing, needless to say, many of these type trade among us.

I have always had issue with someone having a make offer thread, someone places a $1K offer, magically they say we have a $2K offer via PM etc... Most are honest, but the few who aren't, as usual ruin it for all.

I offered 25k for a 3 letter.ca and 15k for a different 3 letter .ca

I used Chris Aguilar from Uniregistry to broker the 25k offer and Christopher Crowther from Uniregistry to broker the 15k offer. I am comfortable with this much information getting out.

I would be very very annoyed if any more about my offers were published somewhere as a sales tool, especially a screen shot of an email or something. I don't think private information like this should be disclosed.

If the offer is accepted and the transaction concludes then it is a whole different scenario. I feel strongly that sales should be made public but definitely not offers. I don't pay much attention when someone says I was offered this amount. I always say sales opportunities come and go and sometimes the offer in hand is the best one.

One of those situations where "solution" is worse than the problem.

If someone makes a claim about an offer, I use my judgement and the counterparts reputation to decide if I factor it in or dismiss...

You used Uniregistry Brokers, or you went to the inquiry page, and those were the auto assigned brokers?

One was auto assigned and the other was assigned by one of the higher ups after I had some issues.

I think its fine for sales to be made public , not offers. Make money on the buy, making such information can be a hinderance.

Claims by other members old or new shouldn't impact your business decisions or strategies. Make your offer, ignore previous offers.

Its always bs. I only acknowledge those claims when I see the offers are in the thread. Otherwise, I pretty much ignore those claims.

The whole "pm offers only", followed by the op posting "Received some offers but looking for more" is a joke.

I just make my offer based on my own research, etc.
