There are different types of wallets like Desktop, mobile, online, hardware, ledger USB & paper wallet. You need to choose your wallet based on your requirements, keeping in mind their pros and cons.
Along with wallet you need exchanges to buy bitcoins. Out of multiple options available you need to choose your exchange carefully based on important factors like privacy, exchange rate, speed of the delivery, etc.
