Efty Marketplace Example

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Today I signed up for the EFTY 30-day trial to test the look and landing page customization feastures. I already have a portfolo on another site. I was just curious what other domainers have done to see what features are available etc. I did notice it did not automatically upload my .TV domains but it did look at WHOIS to find most of the others - even those which were expired. I decided to "not publish" most of the Spanish domains on this EFTY site. Anyone have some examples....

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
@Abdullah Abdullah Their landing pages take me back to another era. Looks like dial up connection watching their pages build. I feel like I wasted my annual subscription buying into their service, because these simple pages load so embarrassingly slow. Efty could be great if they invested in better servers rather than planning all the extra features first that will keep the pages slow. I mentioned this earlier and @Doron Vermaat responded asking me which names in my portfolio are affected. I dont keep track. Truth is, it seems to be ALL of them. Every Efty page I ever see seems to load slow. That's how I know its Efty. I wish Doron would have answered my question. If I could get a refund. Rather that fix the issue all they talk about is new features. Fix your foundation first, Efty, then build on it.
This loadin issue is on all domains , even Doron's marketplace is showing the same stats . I am hoping they are planning to do something about this and also the 404 issue , while adding more themes to give everyone more options.

If they also add more payment options like Payoneer escrow which is looking very nice, then that would be nice since fees are also less.

Well.... Maybe I am asking too much lol

It bothers me so much because they seem blind to it, which I cannot comprehend, and talk of new feature after new feature rather than fixing the basics first. I reported whois info is off by one day in their system months ago. It still is. In the expiring domains dashboard listing. Nitpicky? Maybe, but the devil is in the details

@Abdullah Abdullah - I'll see if there's a quick fix for the 404 landing pages. As for the site speed: does your site load slow when you access it on your mobile device? It takes about 3 seconds for me which is pretty good. As for measuring these type of things much more in-depth you can also use Pingdom: https://tools.pingdom.com/#!/b0YAb/brandonce.com - there's always things to improve and leverage browser caching is one of them. I will also make sure to discuss this with our development team.

@internext From my understanding, you are referring to the load times of the individual For-Sale landing pages, not the marketplace site, correct? I have responded to your post here in this thread and also send you a PM asking for examples but I did not receive a response. I can't work on resolving the issue for you without examples. As I already said this is an isolated case as you are the only user out of hundreds who is experiencing load time issues for our For-Sale landing pages (if anyone else experiences slow load times on their For-Sale landing pages please let us know here).

@Doron Vermaat Did you not see the above sample provided by Abdullah a few posts back? Thats not just me. He even cited your own names as having slow landing pages. Did you not read my posts? They ALL seem slow to me. Literally, when I see a landing page building itself, I say yup its Efty. What about the whois being off a day still, months after you thanked me for the report? Is that just me too? Enjoy my $84 contribution to your product. Im actively searching for a replacement. My fault for not researching better, and buying out of optimism because of your affiliation with Cyger.

Since you wont give a refund, is my account transferable so I can give it away to a newer domainer for free?

PS - yes landing pages are all that I refer to. After seeing them there was no way I was going to use one of my marketplace names to link up to such a slow loading service

You're mixing up two different things. @Abdullah Abdullah is talking about the Efty marketplace sites (BrandOnce.com in his case or NameRockstar.com which is my marketplace he is referring too). He is not referring to our individual For-Sale landing pages such as those you can see at CompanyRecruiter.com, Fay.co or MovingUp.com - Both run on entirely different servers so they are not related in any way when it comes to load times and overall performance.

The Whois expiry date being a day off for GoDaddy domains is something only our Whois data provider can solve so this is not within our control, unfortunately (but we do try to get this resolved by constantly following up with them, asking for an update). I'm sorry you're not happy with Efty but if you don't want to give me examples of domains on which the load time is slow it is going to be very difficult to help you.

@Doron Vermaat Thank you for your time. I said its slow loading in ALL efty landing pages in my account, and most others I stumble upon.

PS, internext.com (at uniregistry) is in my current dashboard list, also one day off. Its not just godaddy whois, as I originally thought. It really doesnt matter at this point. I apologize for my observations.

Once I settle on a replacement, can I give my account away so it doesn't go to waste?

Yes we can do that. Just email us at [email protected] from the email address that you use to sign into your account and provide us with the contact details (Full name and email address) of the person that will continue to use your account for the remainder of the subscription.

I started to use the Service a couple of days ago. So far it is ok, but there are some features I cannot find (I am new to this platform, so it might just be me not looking in the right place)

1) no way to make my own "Category" I wanted to add Categories such as LLLL CHIPS, LLLL NON-CHIPS (maybe the Short names would work for that). VR Names, Dictionary, Phrases, etc...

2) slow loading pages. Not always slow, but enough to make we wonder what's happening (I see this is already being discussed)

3) The BULK tool needs some improvement. I want to be able to load BULK List with BIN Escrow Prices for each name (instead of having to do the price manually for each name)

4) The CREATE_DATE is off by one day (as mentioned in this thread). I noticed it for a couple of names, and wondered if it was because your service is in a different time zone? I am not sure how that works...

5) I want to be able to automatically post on the Lander Page for specified Domains something like "Registered January 3, 1995. All Rights reserved" --it would auto-fill based on the CREATE_DATE from the WHOIS Info. Maybe I can do this for any domain name in a specific "Category" or Folder

6) I wanted to see Page Counters for how many times a page is being visited (type-in, and also by IP Address, and by Date). The same IP or IP's within a local area might alert me to a potential company planning to make an offer on my name (so I could raise the BIN price slightly). On the flip side, names that get little or no traffic I might price differently just to move them along... Similar to the WHOIS lookups that GoDaddy provides by CURRENT-DAY/WEEK/MONTH, and PRIOR DAY/WEEK/MONTH)

7) I want to be able to put Domain Groups into Folders, and then also be able to modify those Domains at the Folder Level (their Lander Page, their Tag line, etc...)

8) The "A" Record modification is a little quirky. It is very specific to the "A" record with the "@" Wildcard. What I wanted to do was add an "A" record with example ZZZ. So my ZZZ "A" Record points to the Custom number at Efty. But it did not work when I tried ZZZ.domainname.com -- it was unresolved. If you do this at Voodoo, or other sites, I think they discard the initial prefix (ZZZ in this case)), and only pay attention to domainname.com -- and then resolve it at their end.

I will keep playing around during the Trial period. Most of these are not "Deal Breakers", but I have only loaded around 50 names so far...

Regards,
DN

Still in my trial period (but it expires very soon, and I'm not sure I will keep it after the Trial ends). Does anyone know if these features are available (or planned for upcoming releases)?

1) I want to arrange the domain names on my market-place page in any order. They seem to be arranged in the order I tag them as "Premium" using LIFO for the TOP-LEFT Domain name. I want to order them manually for the Premium Domain Names. I tried deleting an existing one, then re-adding it, but it went to the original place it was when I originally added it

2) in the "Cockpit", there is a News Feed for Domaining News -- like an RSS Feed or something -- is there a way to add that to my Marketplace Domain (or even on regular landing pages)? This might promote repeat visits from users

3) I really hope there will be "Statistics" on whether people are landing on my pages that I have pointed to EFTYDNS. Also, stats stats on what domains people look at while at my Marketplace Domain would be helpful

4) Can we point a CNAME record to a landing page at EFTY?

Thanks,
DN

Okay, so this might have been covered before, and I admit that I haven't read through here in a min.

Is there a way to NOT make the custom logo show up on the landing page? I only want my custom logo for the Efty Marketplace page. Currently, the logo replaces the domain name on the landing page, and I'd prefer it not do that if possible. Many Thanks.

@Doron Vermaat - Couple questions

When searching an extension (.com or .tv etc) I only see a couple listed in each ext when I own many more than that in both of those extensions.

Also, I thought it I read in these 12 pages here, that it was because of the creation date which was supposed to be listed, so why is the creation date not listed on at least 2/3 of my listed domains so far. Isnt it an automated function when we add domains, it looks up whois and adds the created date? I believe it is but why not on most of mine? That would take hours to look up each one and add it manually to each domain. and is there an automatic bulk whois refresh button somewhere if that is the issue?

Thanks

Doron,

Are you the one and only person providing support on the EFTY platform when we are having any issues?

I signed up with you guys and I really do want to like your platform, but there are a couple issues that are killing me here.

My last couple emails don't seem to be resolving my problems at all. I need some help from someone over there brother.

Thanks,
Vito

Just started my my trial with efty. I was wondering if its possible to upload my own Favicon instead of efty Y favicon for my marketplace. Also when someone sends an offer, confirmation email is sent by efty domain. is it possible to send verification email from our personal domain. I hope these features are available or atleast planned for upcoming release.

Update -- my Trial expired, so I decided to purchase an Annual Subscription for $84 (up to 1,500 Domain Names). This was based on the potential I see in this service. Overall I like it, I just wish there were some more features.

I did learn that one of my "wish list" of "Statistics" is actually taken care of using Google Analytics. I set that up, and I am starting to see some statistics -- although I am new to Google Analytics, so I am still getting used to all the stats it can provide.

As of now, my two biggest "Wish List" Items:

1) Making my own "Category" Folders

2) Ability to arrange the Domain Names that I assign as PREMIUM on my Market Place Page. They currently appear in the order they are tagged as Premium -- and I want to re-arrange certain Domain Names to be near the Top.

Regards,
DN

Please make it so you can turn off the verify email part. They might not know to do this, forget, not see it, It might go to spam on their end. I want to see all offers.

I read you said 2 months ago you were making this change and still have not seen it. Is it coming?

Hi guys, I'm terribly sorry for the late response. For some reason, I missed notifications for this thread.

@DN_Hunter Thank you for the extensive feedback and subscribing to our annual plan despite some of the requests you still have. Google Analytics is fantastic for gaining deep insight into visitor stats for your domains. We're working on putting together a video tutorial showing how to get the most out of this feature but if you need some help before that please email me and I'll be happy to show you around myself. Custom categories is a very popular request but quite challenging from a development point of view because they are linked to landing page themes on our backend. It's more likely that we will add a bunch of categories that are currently missing such as Cannabis, Drones and VR to serve the majority of our users without losing to many development hours. I'm going to check for you if it would be possible to chance the order of the premium domains on the homepage of your marketplace - if it's not too much work we can fit this into our development roadmap.

@Media Branding I believe we've exchanged some emails and all your issues have been resolved now :)

@Candace Currently a logo will show on both your marketplace and the individual landing pages. It would be very nice if you can toggle on/off where to show a logo when you upload it so I will see if this is something we can implement in the future.

@TampaDomains The way inquiries are set up is that you ONLY receive an email when the inquiry is confirmed. Only when the buyer confirms the inquiry, you (the seller) will receive an email notification with the offer. All inquiries that are not verified will still show up in your Efty account under Insights > Inquiries. This way you never have to miss an inquiry, even when the potential buyer forgets to verify the inquiry. We do not have any plans to change this setup now, sorry.

@mginc Uploading a favicon is not possible for now but it's climbing the ranks on the list with popular request so I hope we will get to this sometime later this year. Custom categories is a very popular request but quite challenging from a development point of view because they are linked to landing page themes on our backend. It's more likely that we will add a bunch of categories that are currently missing such as Cannabis, Drones and VR to serve the majority of our users without losing too many development hours. @Doron Vermaat
First, thank you for trying to stay on top of this thread and addressing issues/concerns and "want lists" from your users.

I have one big request to please VERIFY the buyer email before allowing them to create the ESCROW Transaction. This has happened to me several times where a joker is using the BIN to be a jerk and setup the escrow transaction, but never to be heard from again. And it is getting frustrating. So if you can please have the buyer verify their email BEFORE setting up the transaction at Escrow, that would help reduce this situation.

TIA,
DN

@Doron Vermaat ... Just signed up to give it a try and look around...

I'm wondering if I'm missing something.

On the landing page of say RandomDomainForSale.com, is there really no way to better integrate the rest of your domains? This would seem to be a pretty key feature for folks looking to generally creating a mini-brand market?

Thanks for giving Efty a try. We currently do not have a feature to show other domain names on individual For-Sale landing pages for the simple reason it has not been a popular request from our user base.

My personal view is that when a visitor lands on your RandomDomainForSale.com he is not very likely to be interested in AnotherRandomDomainForSale.com or YetAnotherDomainForSale.com

I do make sure to have my marketplace url listed on all my For-Sale landing page so when a visitor lands on www.companyrecruiter.com they will be able to click on my marketplace url in the top right corner to view my entire portfolio.

@Doron Vermaat ... Interesting. If you check out what Mike Mann's been up to, one of the most successful guys in the biz does disagree with that concept. IE; http://happybirthday.com

Not to say whether he's right or wrong in this concept... but I'm surprised better marketplace integration is not a more popular request.
