While recovering from the past weekend of scattered deals and in anticipation of the next SuperSale, I am weary of having several threads related to the SuperSales at Domain - MyDomain - NetFirms - Dotster.

Since the promos often work at more than one reseller, I would love to have a single thread to watch and participate in, if you agree, hang out here and watch this thread!

All NPers are welcome to post coupons and promos here as long as they are Domain - MyDomain - NetFirms - Dotster. That way we all have a better chance at awesome savings as soon as the promos are live!

The usernamex Guide to SuperSales

SuperSales are promotions done by the family of registrars under Domain.com, including MyDomain.com NetFirms.com Dotster.com

About every 10 days to two weeks, one or more of these registrars runs what I like to call SuperSales - with dot COM / NET domain registrations for bargain prices, $1.99 - $2.99 - $3.99. Sometimes the specials are good for multi-year registrations, sometimes only the first year is discounted.

The super fun part is they let you use coupons ON TOP of the promo, so there have been specials as low as $1.39, $1.59 is more common, and $1.99 is still great any time!

If you are new, the best choice is usually MyDomain, since their renewals are second best (to Domain) and I have not seen the $1.99 special ever offered at Domain direct

A great way to get an account set up is NOT during the frenzy of the SuperSales, and a trick you can use without having to contact support is to buy the easiest to type/remember cheapest domain you can, like whatever ngTLD is on sale for $1.99, that will be your username. You can drop the domain after a year and your account will be fine. Otherwise get on chat and they can set you up ahead of time without having to make a purchase.

To make it easy for everyone, if you can BOLD any coupon codes, that would be super, and if you tested coupons successfully, please mention the reseller where you tested.

Standard coupons can be found 10-15% almost all the time - I call these Evergreen Coupons and they are only limited by account - once you use them to the limit at one sibling, they will not work for that account anymore. They are sprinkled throughout this thread and the maximum is 20-25%.

Holiday and special offer coupon codes range from 15-35%, and very rare the best ever were 40%, not since 2015 on 40% though (for domains)

Personally, if there is a 25% coupon, I consider that good, 30% better and more than 30% best, so I plan ahead to take advantage of those offers, knowing they higher the percent, the less frequently it is offered. They seem to coordinate coupons with holidays, and bonus offers in between.

Be logged in and just keep scrolling, they used to have a search bar you could type in 30% or 35% and see how often they were offered

Also, the fine print always says not good for transfer and renewal AND we have found that to be FALSE sometimes, so always test every coupon, we have a group effort in this thread to test at different siblings for new reg, transfer and renewal and post the results here. You can test the coupons without making a purchase, you just put it in cart and apply coupon, see discount or not then delete the cart items.

Looking at last year, there was a random coupon between St Patricks Day (current coupon GOLD) and the next holiday will be April Fools Day April 1st

up to 25% for 50$+ spending

I am hoping they have on some of the sisters good enough renewal costs on some .info .biz .net so I cna use this and save few bucks on transfering and not hassle with transfer..

sadly their .com renewal costs are so high that it makes more sense to transfer .. even if you save 1/2$ I'd still transfer to a more "common/popular" registrar... cause it then makes it easier for sales etc... hope this works on renewals!

for .com its stll best imo to transfer to more popular registgrars (easier for sales after), even if it means paying 1-2$ more

man.. I wish they had better renewal .com prices on net/com at those companies.. so applying 25% would actually make sense versus transfering elsewhere for round $8 reg price.
