looks like BB and me we are "best friends" by now:

---------------------------------

Hello Frank,

Your account is currently not in good standing, so transferring a domain to your account is not possible at the moment. If you, however, want to bring back the 105 domains you had removed from us, please let us know.
This will move your account to good standing again.

Best,

Julia

This grading system is not logic and will lead to many names removed from the site.

I think you need to read his post properly. It sounds like he is an ex boyfriend. Hasn't he removed over 100 names from BB? To me, that sounds like an ex.

Don't wanna prejudice on BB this time, but I experienced a slow down on listing time, some of my names have been on pending editorial for a week and new listing on BB mostly are Krell's name...

I submitted 13 names for listing last week and all these were published within 24 hours - and I am not Krell!!

I also experienced this "24 hours published" in the last 2 weeks and happy with that. But it is the case of this week. Maybe something happened on the backend. I don't know...

Yes you arent but I agree with Fuad here. I waited 1 name to get published for a week.Nothing is consistent there except the sales for certain sellers which is nice actually:)

BB is consistent. When they have issues - and the issues are brought to their attention - they always address the issues - every single time. That is consistency.

BB also has makes consistent sales - month after month. Is anything else more important from a seller's perspective?

There are no more than 10 (and more likely to be 4-5) sellers who have consistent sales, month-to-month, on BB. Many of those are insiders. That may not be unrelated, but it's worth pointing out.

Purely to put more context on your comment - how many months experience selling on BB do you have, and how many sales per month have you achieved?

I have 10 months experience on BB. In the past 4 months I have averaged 1 sale every month. Considering the number of domains I own this is an extraodinary achievement in such a short time. I also have over 5% sell through rate. This may not be a statistically valid sample but it demonstrates that I am heading in the right direction with my BB strategy.

My sell through rate at Brandbucket - 6.25% of inventory sold over the past 12 months (2 domains sold - ultrra and recordingg)

I was a bit miffed as to why my FundingBooth.com was rejected when I seen these results - https://www.brandbucket.com/names/search=funding
- https://www.brandbucket.com/names/search=booth

Here on NP, you will find every answer about your rejected names from the sellers rather than actual folks who select and reject names...There are just too many BB pros here..lol... ;)

And if you are on their slack channel, you will find many more reasons from their sellers... lol..

I can understand why is got rejected.
FundBooth is currently published on BB.

FundingBooth is too closely related.

Keith might get upset:)
So it's favoritism then? and if your face fits... not your domain. Sounds exactly like Flippa with the "editors choice"

The whole reason I submitted my domain is based on the fact FundBooth is published.

Also, LendPlex and LendingPlex are both published. I'm pretty sure I could find more examples if I keep looking.

I'm sure you have had names that you thought wouldn't get accepted and were accepted. So it works both ways.

Hi, don't wanna share any opinion here. Just some data & fact.
So I've done a little bit of data gathering from BB domain sold from https://dnbolt.com/brandbucket-sold-domains. I want to find out, how long does a domain get sold at BB from the their listing date.
On this month, at least at the date of this post, BB had sold 102 domains.

Method of how to gather the listing date (month) on BB
To gather information about listing date of the domain, I am using hosterstats.com to track the nameserver change of each domain. This method only works for domain that validate using nameserver change when listing at BB. Otherwise, I can't detect the listing date. So, from 102 domains, I can detect listing date of 94 domains, while 8 domains using another way to validate the domain.

Summary of the information gathered
From that 94 domains sold this month:
- 45 domains sold at its 1st year listed on BB (48%)
- 36 domains sold at its 2nd year listed on BB (38%)
- 13 domains sold at its 3nd year listed on BB (14%)
- The span of a domain sold on BB start from 1 month to 2.75 years
- Average time of a domain sold on BB is 14.03 months or 1.15 years
- Average profit/months of a domain sold is $327/month

If you want to know more detail, here is the link of the Microsoft Excel file you can download
https://www.dropbox.com/s/n3s9uqce6qcz1py/BB Sold Domain.xlsx?dl=0

NB: Profit calculation, in this case, didn't consider the cost of domain acquisition and listing cost at BB. So, it's just Revenue - Commission of 30%

Hope this helps. Thank you.

@Fuadiansyah My guess is something like 40%-45% of total inventory was added in the past year (approximately). In that context, I would conclude from your results that there is neither an advantage nor a disadvantage to having a name added within the past year.

100 names is not a huge sample size, though.

Thanks for taking the time to do that work and share it with us.

Yes, the sample size is still small (only about 0.22% of domains listed on BB at this moment) as dnbolt.com delete the data from previous months, so as the data updated each day, maybe I can update it consistently toward next months, to get bigger sample size.
I'll update the data each month and share here if I have time.

I think the 2nd year is also representative of what % of inventory was probably added during that period.

Did you have an assumption going in? Did you think longer-ago added names would've sold better?

I don't have any assumptions regarding % of inventory added related to the result gathered here.
Do you have any?

The domain who sold better surely depends on the quality of the domains.
But from the results, we can see the trends of kind of inventory added at each year and trends of preferred end user domain this day.

From the 1st year sold domain, I can see that most of the fast sale today is keywords 2 words domain. From 2nd year, 2 words and keyword+suffix and madeup word shared the pie. 3nd year, mostly madeup words.

The results of this data gathering could helps us choose what sold better this day and helps us in our submission to BB. But surely, we need to gather more samples to get better result and conclusion.

Basically, I just want to provide the BB performance from this information.

I might've thought the longer-listed stuff would be better quality and would sell better. But apparently I would've been wrong :)

Very hard to discern patterns since everything is so dynamic. But something worth mentioning is that the upgraded search had the primary objective of surfacing older and pure brandable inventory. Not sure this adds much value, and being honest I think you need to run the numbers on a larger sample of sales than the above research to get added value. Maybe @Dnbolt can help?
