Hey! Heads up! ElectricVehicles.com is owned by GM Motors company! Just saw it now via whois.

Maybe you should give them a holler?

Thanks for your valuable suggestion. I really appreciate it.

I will wait for someone to knock my door.

I may do something with it. No plan yet but I will think about it.

Let's see what I can do with it. As of now the name is sleeping peacefully in my account.

Thanks

Yes friend it was private deal. I contacted owner directly via email.

I wanted to get something which has good current market position and good bright future.

For me Electriccar was one of best example of what I was thinking. It's current market share is only 2% but future is very bright. Almost all automakers are making or trying to make Electric Car. So many company's goal by 2020 is to sell one of their model in range of $30000 which will take them closer to Honda Accord and Toyota Camry for comparison. Technology gonna improve. Battery gonna improve. Let's see what happens in future. These are all predictions.

Thanks

I'm looking at a domain too. My first big money aftermarket buy that based on my readings on the keyword of this single word domain it has a bright future as well about to close the deal in couple of days. Can't wait to finally let the cat out the bag on the name. Like you I'm betting on it for the long bet.

Going to reg it for the next 10 years and just wait. Will develop. It's a Retirement investment lol.

I started a popular thread on NP about it
Lol.

Wireless electric cars about to hit the road

Imagine charging your electric car as easily as you charge your electric toothbrush.

Or, your car charging itself as it drives down the road.

Those scenarios are not as far-fetched as you may think. Indeed, a group of tech gurus who gathered last month in San Diego discussed how a wireless electric vehicle is about to become a reality.

“This is definitely coming,” said Jesse Schneider, chairman of the wireless task force for the Society of Automotive Engineers, or SAE, an international group working to develop common standards to make sure the sector’s competing technologies work together.

Car buyers are familiar with plug-in hybrids and all-electric vehicles, but companies such as Qualcomm seek to jump-start the transition from internal combustion to zero-emission cars with “inductive” charging.

Instead of charging a vehicle with a plug or cable, the driver using a wireless system aligns the car over a charging pad and an electromagnetic field does the rest.

“Customers wait for the green light and then walk away, knowing when they come back they will be more fully charged or fully charged, depending on how long they were away,” said Schneider. “You can actually just park over the wireless charging system and everything is done automatically after that.”

The technology has been talked about for years but, starting with the hybrid version of the 2018 Mercedes-Benz S550e, wireless vehicle charging technology will make its debut. The German automaker reached an agreement with Qualcomm to use the San Diego-based company’s Halo technology as a feature on the luxury car, which has a base price of $96,600.

Elon Musk promises to unveil a Tesla semi truck this September

Elon Musk’s next big unveiling will apparently be an electric semi-trailer truck, Musk announced today on Twitter.
( Tesla Semi truck unveil set for September. Team has done an amazing job. Seriously next level. )

The idea had been teased before by the Tesla CEO. But the truck is apparently not just some idea, like drilling tunnels underneath Los Angeles — it’s set for an unveiling this fall.

Like most Tesla announcements, however, the actual release date for this product remains unknown (and may later wind up delayed).

Musk also promised one Twitter user that a Tesla pickup truck will be unveiled in the next 18 to 24 months — although I cannot tell if he’s serious, I sincerely hope it looks like one of these:

Electric vehicle charging network ChargePoint closes $125 million funding round for EU push

Electric vehicle (EV) charging network ChargePoint has closed its series G funding round at $125 million, with German technology giant Siemens — an existing ChargePoint investor — joining the round.

ChargePoint announced a $82 million tranche of funding led by Daimler back in March, and another $43 million has now been added to the pot to help spearhead the company’s expansion across Europe.

Founded out of California in 2007, ChargePoint is among the biggest EV charging networks in the world, with more than 36,000 charging stations across North America and Australia. The company announced just yesterday that it was taking over GE’s 10,000 EV charging spots.
