Hi,
I am new to Uniregistry BIN sale, for the seller.
Could you please tell me about the domain transfer process?

As I understand, I need to transfer the domain to my Uniregistry account by myself? And after that Uniregistry will push the domain to the buyer account?
Or I just provide the transfer key and unlock the domain. The buyer/ Uniregistry will process the transfer job?

Thank you for your help

Wouldn't it be better to ask Uniregistry? It's always better to get these answers direct from the horse's mouth.

Thank you for your advice. I already asked but I have not yet got the feedback. Maybe it is weekend time.

Anyone has had experience with Uniregistry BIN sale?

Well I just had a sale on UNI. The domain was set to "Make offers and BIN" and I did have it set to 'broker by UNI"

The buyer made a couple offers and we agreed on a price that was lower than the BIN.

Right now the domain is in escrow.

But I did not have to transfer the domain to UNI.

1. Uni created an escrow.com transaction that reflected the price after they took their commission.
2. Buyer paid for the domain and funds cleared.
3. I provided the transfer codes and relevant authorization codes to the buyer since he wanted the domain transferred from Name.com to GoDaddy. Transferring to Uni was not part of the process.

I don't think it should be any different for you.

At Uniregistry in your seller control panel your domain sale will be listed. (you may have to follow the email link. I have had a sale that was buggy and only showed through the link). On that page there is a place to enter the authorization codes. Unlock your domain, get the codes, and enter on this page. Your domain will automatically be transferred to Uniregistry. Once the domain is at Uniregistry they will handle the transfer and put funds in your account.

Thank you for your information. In my case, It is BIN sale. The buyer would like to transfer to his account in UNI. So In this case, it is no escrow.com.

So I am not sure that I need to go to my UNI account and transfer the domain from other registrar to my UNI account OR I just provide the transfer code and UNI will do the transfer job

Hi,
Thank you for your advice. It is exactly what I am looking for.
I follow the email link but It just drive me to the domain listing page in the domain market. I do not see any place to enter the transfer code.

for the seller control panel, do you mean this? uniregistry.com/account/market/sell/domains/all ?

You may need to contact Uniregistry then. Being Monday they should be back in touch with you soon.

Normally the email link you need is in the email titled "Funding completed for [domain name]"

If you have not received an email saying Funding is complete, then someone may have hit buy it now, but their payment did not process. In this case - the sale did not go through. (I have had several do this - but dont worry yet - I have also had people pay a few days later)

If you did receive the Funding is completed email, then there should be this text:

  1. Unlock the domain at the current registrar.
  2. Enter the authcode in the Market here. <---- This is the link you click
  3. Approve the transfer authorization email sent by Uniregistry (be sure to remove WHOIS privacy so the authorization reaches you).
As I said their interface can be a little buggy, but the section on their website I was referring to can be in a couple of places depending on where the sale is at:
market/sell/inquiries/inbox
market/sell/inquiries/brokered
market/sell/inquiries/archived
account/market/sell/inquiries/sold (once completed)

To the best of my knowledge, the BIN sales at Uniregistry bypassing escrow dot com technically involve pushing domains between two Uniregistry accounts. It's good to inquire with the registry, but, by all appearances, you'd have to transfer it to your Uni account first.

You do not need to transfer to your account first. I've recently sold a few a Uniregistry BIN - and it is a very easy process that they lead you through. You transfer it to Uniregistry using the seller control panel and it will go right to the buyer and your funds will be released.

I was wondering about the same thing, because I have a domain with godaddy but it has a 60-day lock, what happens if buyer agrees to buy it ?

You can not complete the sale until the 60 day lock is up - unless the buyer agrees to receive the domain @ Godaddy.

You can try to email review60 @ godaddy (I believe that was the email) and see if you can get godaddy to release the 60 day lock

If the domain is in the Uniregistry market and is also registered at Uniregistry, if it has a BIN the buyer can buy it on the spot for that price and the domain will transfer automatically to their account. That is how I understand it. If it is registered somewhere else, they can still BIN on the Uniregistry market but you will have to handle the transfer yourself, or get help with it.

You could try to get Uniregistry to get the buyer to receive it at GD. One thing about Uniregistry in my experience is they always try to get the buyer to receive the name at Uniregistry.

You can also try e-mailing GoDaddy like someone else said to release the lock. I have had this work on a couple situations where the name was under lock but I had bought at GD Expiring so the name had been at GD itself longer than 60 days.

Thank you for your advice. In my case, I did the same as your advice but I see nothing in all the above places.

Finally I input the transfer code in the "Contact Broker" of the domain. (it will send the information to finished @ UNI)

and I got contacted from UNI that they started the transfer. It is ok now. The transfer process is running. It could be done within 2 days.

I already thought the same thing but I read a gain their email, it states that "Important: Only complete the transfer from within the Uniregistry Market. Do not start a transfer of your own."
So I did not transfer it to my UNI.

Better to let them pay for it anyway. I think they charge the buyer a transfer fee before they can check out.
