Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

vr is the future...

I don't think user reaction to your names will change if you will change your user name..
The domain is worth 7 figure...my opinion.

To a specific end user lol

Domain F*B*V*R should not be sold to non "specific" user :xf.wink:

or to put differentlly.. all endusers are pretty specific ;)

but hey... even if 5 figure domain now.. with VR at 1.6791%
they're going nowhere but up in future.. so let's leave somethign for future and say maybe 7 figures in future.. otherwise when futuer comes.. we may run out of figures to talk about. ;)

Think I might develop my mobile vr domain into a simple mobile vr comparison site with affiliate links. If anyone has experience with this, e.g. which affiliate programmes are around, please let me know. I could do amazon or may be something else.

Cheers

I tried to buy a Playstation VR headset today and they were sold out in all the major electronics stores in central Tokyo. They also couldn't give me any idea when they might have them in stock, including the flagship Sony store. I suppose this indicates that there is a lot of demand for this type of VR, at least in Japan.

I just noticed a few news reports stating that PSVR sales were stronger than expected, so thought I would update my post.

The Playstation VR headset is selling better than the company originally anticipated. When the device went on sale last October, Sony was cautious in its rollout. But speaking to The New York Times, it’s now offered the first concrete numbers for how well the device has been selling, providing a glimpse onto the overall health of the VR marketplace.

Not saying your thoughts are wrong with positioning AI and VR side by side as you have, but I'm not getting the connection. Is the 'news' supposed to be covering the 2 tech areas separately, or is there a connection between the 2 areas that AIVRNews would focus on covering?

Was thinking something similar for vr mobile...maybe even dropshipping VR headsets but I haven't found any good resources yet.

Through Feb. 19 the company sold 915,000 headsets.

On the other hand, if you're a pessimist, you could argue that Playstation don't or didn't have confidence in its success and so decided not to produce too many of them.

Popularity of Sony’s PlayStation VR Surprises Even the Company

Sony’s internal goal was to sell one million of the headsets in its first six months, by mid-April. The company will almost certainly surpass that forecast. “You literally have people lining up outside stores when they know stock is being replenished,” said Mr. House, describing the scene in Japan, one of the largest games markets.

NetEnt pioneers online casino with real-money Virtual Reality slot

NetEnt, leading provider of digital casino solutions, today announces that it will develop and launch its first real-money Virtual Reality slot game to the online casino market. Gonzo’s Quest, one of the company’s most popular titles, will pilot this new game venture.

NetEnt eagerly tracks technology advancements and believes that WebVR technology will be mature enough to offer basic support for VR game-play 2017/2018. NetEnt’s ambition is to respond to that by adding Gonzo’s Quest VR game to its current multi-channel offering and to distribute it through the existing NetEnt Casino Module to maximise reach and availability for its customers.

My personal thoughts on it:

WebVR support is very important because this technology by-passes the appstores and the need for installing software / apps. With direct navigation though domains customers can load instant games.

I have many in king: VRVideoslots, VirtualRealitySlot, VR3DSlots, VRCasinoSlot, VRSlotsCasino, etc.

Some very nice names.

Virtual Reality Gambling will eventually be a very big industry so I feel the owner of VR Slots (.com) will end up getting some very decent offers.

I own ARslots (.com) but would swap it in a heartbeat for the VR equivalent.

I have a couple of AR domains, ARSlot in king, and VRSlots in dot co. You did a nice catch at the end of 2016 with your ARSlots reg. Yeah i have so many VR/AR/MR/Holo (+-80% VR) gambling domains. Lots of renewals... but it will be worth it.

VR is king in games and there is so much money to be made with the gambling market. A big list of high value domain sales. VR will be a perfect fit for casino games. I have high expectations for the future.

Not so bad :)

Virtual and augmented reality market expected to reach $100bn by 2022

Among the recent technological innovations, like smartglasses, that have the potential to penetrate to the mainstream in the consumer and commercial segments, currently augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) headsets are poised to reach $117.40bn in sales by 2022 according to aresearch published by Markets and Markets.

http://www.thedrum.com/news/2017/02...nted-reality-market-expected-reach-100bn-2022

LOL, that's nothing. The 3D TV market is expected to be worth $119 billion by 2020 :

They're only going to be $119 billion short of that forecast.

lol i'm still wondering how they could think about those numbers for 3D TV :) but once again for me VR and 3D TV are 2 different things and VR impact much more branch of the economy than 3D TV, but this would be too long to develop in details here :)
