The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
What is the sell through rate of brandables, ball park, 1%??? 1% is industry average for non brandables .com.

I believe BrandBucket's sell-through rate is currently around 2.7% annually.

284 sales recorded by DnBolt during the three months from November '16 thru January '17

Multiply that by 4 to get an annual estimate = 1,136 = the numerator

Average inventory over those 3 months of 42,838 = the denominator

1,136 / 42,838 = 2.7%

My lifetime annualized rate at BrandBucket is 2.8%. Over the past year, it's 2.3%.

Good brandables sell through rate 2-4%

Crap brandables less than 1% (maybe never)

Depends on what type of brandables names as there are huge overlaps. It's important that people don't get the wrong impression. In my opinion it's best to have less completely made up names and more meaningful names.

Hi Pros,

I have been following this thread for a while now, and I must say I like what you guys are doing 'cos I've really learnt a lot about brandables and brandable marketplaces just by reading your posts.

Wish I had some useful contributions to make, but I am kind of new to domaining, especially when it comes to brandables; so obviously I don't know enough to contribute.

Keep up the good work!

Apparently namebio and bb sales data ranks the most popular 3 letter keyword(from start) at relatively same position. :peeking: I am sure most people already know..

Interesting to note that the name Syntrina sold one week after being part of one of the listings for BrandBucket's Name My Company site. Number 10 on the list. It's all about getting names in front of potential buyers and this is possibly one reason recent handregs sometimes sell fairly quickly.

https://www.brandbucket.com/name-my-company/q/213

@Dnbolt is there anyway to check all names that have been part of these naming contests at BrandBucket and see if any of them match up to sold names? Curious if there is a direct correlation to BB sales and these contests or if this was just an anomaly.

Interesting.. Sure very possible, but I need some labour from you side. Send me a list of all company submitted domain names so I can see which matches with past sales ;)

There are thousands of names and I would have to manually input each one. I figured it would be something quick you could do with your software stuff. :)

Nope, doesn't look like something quick. And this thread has some spies. :xf.cool:

livvu/com is another domain with fastest flip for about $3,295. Looks like buyers love their double v in their 5 L domain.

Below are few out of many similar sales and one of the domain in the list reminds me of an uproar that was initiated by one of bb's top loyal fan as a result of highlighting it as a fast flip at that time...

navva/com =>$1,485
wavvo/com =>$2,690
kavvo/com =>$3,095
cavvo/com => :whistle:
tevva/com (visit the site you will be impressed)

They work on 6L? Sure!
privva/com => $2,275
stovve/com =>$2,395
...

What namebio has to say?
novvi/com => $22,000

As far as 5Ls go - there are 11,881,376 total domains. (26 x 26 x 26 x 26 x 26)

What all patterns exists depends on what angle you are look at it.

Some patterns do not form pronounceable words, so people typically wouldn't seek those.

CCVVC Example: SHOOT
This pattern can make several pronounceable words or invented words that "sound right"

CCCVC Example: STRIP
This pattern can form less words as finding three consonants in a row is more rare.

CCCCC Example: *none*
There are no words that contain no vowels

You just need to run through them in your head or through an algorithm against one of your databases and the most popular patterns will be apparent.

Not sure your exact question but I hope this helps some.
I have a CCCCC that is pronounceable without vowels.
tvtym.com - perfect for television niche

Sale did not materialize!

livvu - Sale did not materialize!

That is most probably the the downfall of listing a newly registered domain that is still under registry lock. Looks like this domain was at Domain.com - which most people do not want to deal with the hassle to transfer accounts. Good chance they buyer opted to not wait the 1+ weeks for the transfer out to their desired registrar.

Buyers remorse can set in quick - which is why it is always best to not give them a reason to back out. I wait to list my names until they are past the 60 day lock after a experiencing a few transactions that I could have lost. (but was lucky enough to have an understanding buyer)

He didn't see the eagle coming whom has already seen the potential from miles away :xf.wink:
That is why BB is the best marketplace. No other site could have achieved this sale.

Probably best for some people but NOT all.
This means your statement isn't universally true.

Namepros the largest domain community. =>universally true

But who knows for making such kind comment about bb the watch dog committee (santa claus) could approve more sales for you. :)

focl is a good example.

This domain has been around for over one decade being parked hoping for an end user to buy it. Gets listed on BB for a few months and achieve this sale.

Point proven.

I can sell that domain too for similar price if not higher. :xf.wink:

Want to learn how to buy undervalued 4L just book a consultation with @L2 Media or @Embrand This are some of the people that powers bb. Remove them from bb and watch what happens.
