Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

Thanks @Onekey ....I notice how many are using brandables rather than "VR" names in that list

Yeah. But they are pretty abstract experiences and most of them are probaly just experiments. No need for a KeywordVR name for that.

I think those will be used for sites that offer actual products and services.

Yeah true, but they are VR experiences though, you would think they would want to mention "VR" because thats what grabs peoples attention. I know I wouldn't click on it if I saw "broken mantra", especially if I was looking for or was interested in VR stuff....its good to see how other names can do well too :xf.wink: Don't limit yourself people :xf.wink:

HTC Breaking Ground in VR Fitness

Virtual reality analysts have been following HTC quite closely. HTC has become quite the trailblazer in the VR industry. The company is making power moves left and right. A recent FCC listing indicates that HTC has a Vive Fitness Tracker in the works.

Is HTC’s new Tracker Nearing a Launch?

VR industry insiders believe HTC is preparing its Fitness Tracker for launch. Companies typically test new devices in-house and then send them to the FCC for approval. The fact that an FCC listing shows a new device from HTC is an indication that the tracker passed through internal testing without flaw. Industry insiders anticipate the new HTC tracker will likely debut at some point in the next couple of months, possibly around the time of the Barcelona Mobile World Congress.

I have high hopes for the mainstream use of VR in the dental field.
I see some companies and organisations are already exploring its use for pain relief and dental phobia- by distracting patients.

And also in training students, which is a more obvious use.

Yeah... I agree that VR in a name definitely grabs attention. Digital artists and web developers just showcasing what can be done don't always have the best marketing sense, especially when profit is not the main objective.

Apparently 2 weeks ago 1 of my keyword+VR dot com sold on Afternic for mid $xxx, if I'll only receive an email when a sale is in pending would be just great...very happy with this sale, especially because was one of my latest hand-regs. Great domain for a VR theme park, me and buyer got a nice deal, proof that you can still find great hand-regs.

:xf.smile::xf.smile: Virtual Reality set to make all the money after slow start

The new research says that though we've seen a relatively slow start to VR sales, the dedicated VR headset market will grow a frankly ridiculous sounding 800 per cent between 2017 and 2021 (not ridiculous for the prediction, but 800 per cent is a hell of a lot of growth), hitting 22 million units.

VirtualRealityAccelerator

Qualcomm launches virtual reality display accelerator program

Qualcomm has launched an accelerator to help hardware companies develop head-mounted displays for virtual reality.

The company has targeted its Snapdragon 835 mobile chip at virtual reality headsets and has four customers with early 820-based designs in the market and an additional five 820 designs coming in 2017. Now, to further stoke the market, it is launching the accelerator. Clearly, from Qualcomm’s perspective, spreading its bets around and encouraging the VR ecosystem could help the fledgling market grow.

Qualcomm said it is talking with additional vendors about making headsets with the more advanced, low-power Snapdragon 835 mobile platform.

Due to initial success, Qualcomm is officially launching the Qualcomm Head Mounted Display (HDM) Accelerator Program. The goal of this program is to help manufacturers increase the speed with which they are able to create and ship new products, while also reducing their engineering costs.

The Qualcomm HMD Accelerator Program is designed to be a catalyst for hardware manufacturers creating a VR HMD of their own.

For all my VR Friends :) ( check also the pdf )

Unprecedented experiences. Unlimited possibilities.

VR will bring a new paradigm for how we can interact with the world, offering unprecedented experiences and unlimited possibilities that will enhance our lives in many ways—allowing us to live out our dreams on demand. We’ll be able to be virtually anywhere, do anything, and be with anyone.

VR will change how we play, learn, and communicate. Imagine being virtually transported to the best seat in the arena at the World Cup finals, to a classroom where you can learn from the best professors across the world or to a special family event. Our imagination and creativity are the only limits to the VR possibilities, and they will be stretched.

Play

  • Immersive movies and shows
  • Live concerts, sports, and other events
  • Interactive gaming and entertainment
Learn
  • Immersive education
  • Training and demos
  • 3D design and art
Communicate
  • Social interactions
  • Shared personal moments
  • Empathetic storytelling

congrats
great roi for recent handreg!
themeparks will be huge.. I have virutalrealityparks.com + vr-park.com

yep for sure you can still reg and sell!... just cause the potential of sale of anything in VR and any keyword or keyword combo is virtually infinite and limitless.. so someone will always find a handreg even today that one day can sell.

its just becoming harder to do with each passing month etc.. it takes no genius to understand regging VR+kw domains 5 years ago was a splendid viosionary activity to engage in... a fantastic investment.... then 4 years ago.. it was wonderful.. but a bit less.. then your down to 3 years.. 2 year etc.. its just how it goes for emerging techs.. especially something as revolutoinary and mind blowing potential as VR.

One of my favorite VR+KW (hint- something related to what Snapchat is upto) domain would leave my account in a few days because of the mistake I made with pricing while putting it up for sale on GD with BIN. Someone got a steal deal. Sold it for low $XXXX.

oh wow
that seems to suck
not sure if congratulate you or not

either way.. hope you make some nice roi

I know it sucks when we forget to add zero or something at the end

if you made genuine mistake and are prepared to take a warning on acoutn from godaddy auctions.. cauise I know they don't ban you for first strike... then you can always call them and xplain things.

I assume domain is registered at godaddy.. so you'd definiltey need calll them cause they push automatically

if domain elsewhere then you simply deny transfer and call to explain you made typo

I registered it for 99 cents back in 2015 on GD and paid $1 transfer fee last year, so its a decent ROI but nevertheless it's a good domain name and it could have easily been sold for high $xxxx or low $xxxxx and most likely for an even higher $$ in future.
The domain is not on GD any longer although it would be wrong on my part to do that.

well.. u said you made a genuine typo in bin price
at least that's how I understood it

tis one thing to backout of sale cause for other reasons..but if its a genuine honest price typo.. then its different imo

there was a lot of great regs in VR beginning of 2015... so I believe yours can fetch what it did now.. and even more in future.. I have some that way too..

but.. worst come to worst you got ghood roi.. for a moment I thought you had some old vr domai you paid good money for

well.. hope you can post the name one day if you decide to sell

ciao
