Okay, here we go again. One hour ago, I got a direct email inquiry on a domain I just hand regged! It's a media brandable domain.

They asked me if I want to sell it. I haven't answered yet. Don't want to give it away, so give me some feedback...quick.

The domain is e .t .e .e .v .e .e . king. The company asking about it is M .i .l .l .e .n .i .u .m .V .e .n .t .u .r .e .G .r .o .u .p

I found that out by looking at the persons email address then looking up the company.

So what do you think? I literally got this an hour ago.

I had a similar mail on one of my domains that was bought a couple of weeks back. Looks like a domain investor now.
The email was [email protected]

Quote a price your happy with and don't look back.

Take your time and think through it.

Best of Luck!

I would make sure it's not an appraisal scam or something similar. No offense, but I don't see a lot of value in that name? In fact, you can take out an 'e' from the middle or end of the domain and hand register a shorter version for $10.

It is a common practice to get offers on emails for newly registered names. There are marketing/web development companies who regularly track what names are being registered and send out emails. So would not be surprised if it is some scam. Anyways, ask what what it is worth for.

Haha, irony. I got the same message as well, let's just reply and see what they are upto. Whois shows another domain on their name and it forwards to a developed site.

Quote the price and if the price you're quoting, give them a reason why they should buy your domain

If you want some fun...

1) Ask them to make their best offer for you to consider
or
2) Ask for $2k, and see if they respond

Could it be the teeveeapp.com?, .net, .org, .tv ?
oops, shouldn't disclose you hand reg'd.
or,
If it isn't them you know who might want it :)
or,
So many VC's getting into the biz, they gotta test the ropes right?
So they are listening in and testing the waters for 1 good reason,
domains go cheap on NP :) or if traders are interested maybe better
chance of end user interested to ? Interesting way to "market test"
before you buy and keep costs low by buying here.
You might want to take a poll
to NP traders to see how many have been contacted by this
buyer ? :)

Not all new reg's are receiving the exact same emails.
I thought it was interesting that known traders are getting
it from the same source.
I also suggested that if it is a scam here is someone Silentptnr might be interested in contacting to sell it.
Maybe a little chill might be in order after you come across MarrySnikles in the forums.
Just havin a little fun with the OP as he's one of the few that don't take things to seriously.
Cheers

I put all such emails in the trash. IMMEDIATELY. You should never respond. They then know they have a live email address to spam some more.
