What do you use as for your prefix for email address

There are a couple of different ones. I feel like each one sets a different tone

[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
or do you just use something external like a gmail?

Which one do you tend to go with? (name)@website.com seems to be more personal ... like if you will be dealing with someone on a personal basis frequently...

info seems appropriate for a website where you will make a quick inquiry, and then purchase a product

hello gives off a tone of being approachable ....

what do you think? What do you use?

I don't do outbound so I'll share my opinion as someone who 'receives' emails from other domainers and not one that 'sends'.

Ignoring other factors and judging only be the email, I prefer when people approach me with their full name in the email, eg. like [email protected]

.... and definitely not gmail/yahoo or anything similar. I like to visit the 'website.com' that is on the senders email and see a business there.

Well if you use your first name (ex. John) one thing you can count on is that you'll get more spam email than you ever thought was possible to get. They love it when they think their spam is going to an actual person.

i was thinking of using this but I am probably just going to use 1 email across the board lol

Depends on the type and purpose of the website. I usually have different email addresses for different uses, e.g. "admin" for webmaster issues, "info" for general queries, etc.

Only reason I stopped doing this is that it become too tedious to manage. I linked 3 different emails to my phone, but on a computer, it's three different log-ins .. and that's just a pain.

is there a service that centralizes all of the mail so you can read and reply to all of them in one place?

You can forward all addresses to one 'central' account. But then you'll have to reply from the central account, or login to each account to reply from there.

When I was running my arcade site I was using "webmaster@..." then when I changed domains to run the blog I again was using "webmaster@..." so I just stuck to using webmaster as my email prefix.

If I'm dealing with sales, I prefer [email protected]. If I'm dealing with admin, I prefer [email protected]. So it depends on what kind of email I'm dealing with.
