Just received PayPal notification of their new Term's of Service going into effect on March 29, 2017 and noticed that payments sent using friends and family button will no longer be covered by "Buyer Purchase Protection". That means buyers should not pay for domain sales using the "Send Money to Friends and Family" button as you will have no protection should your seller not deliver the domains. Seller's should no longer ask buyers to submit funds using the "Send Money to Friends and Family" button, and not expect them to do so, and instead should request PayPal payments using the "Pay for Goods and Services" button to insure a safe and uneventful transaction.

Umm, sending using payments to family and friends has never had buyer protection? And it has always been against their TOS to use payments to family and friends for business transactions. So I'm not sure I understand your point?

Well @todaygold since you don't seem to do any buying or selling here this shouldn't concern you at all, as you're main purpose here so far is just trolling from thread to thread, insulting people, crashing auctions telling sellers their merchandise is overpriced, and generally ruining what used to be a fun, friendly, professional exchange of ideas so you can feel better about yourself by belittling anybody who dares answer you. I can't believe the moderators haven't kicked you off of here yet, as you bring absolutely nothing to these forums but hatred, bias and unprofessionalism! Please do me a favor, and stop replying to any of my comments or threads from this point forward as you never have anything constructive to say therefore I'd rather not here anything you have to say! Thank You!

Umm, are you serious? Where did I put you down in this thread? I simply stated, that as usual, you were wrong. Don't post misinformation and I won't have anything to correct! Am I wrong to reply and help a newbie, such as yourself, out?

First off, stop saying Umm at the beginning of all of your insulting threads it's ridiculous!
So I'm not sure I understand your point?
The problem with people like you is you don't even think your being insulting, it's sociopathic!
Don't post misinformation and I won't have anything to correct! Am I wrong to reply and help a newbie, such as yourself, out?
My account may be new but I'm no newbie, unless 18 years in eCommerce is considered new to you. I just never had a need for an account before this, and it's exactly people like you, why I didn't, and why I'm reconsidering closing this one. It takes too much time and energy to stand up to a thread bully like you and hurts to watch you continue to belittle new users like you're some sort of expert. If anyone follows any of your handiwork on other's threads it's easy to figure out what kind of person you are. So when someone like me tries to offer some information to users, don't jump in and say it's misinformation when it is not. Again, stop replying to any of my threads, as hard as that may be for you!

Can you explain how it's not misinformation? Since you say that you have been in the 'business' for so many years, I must admit it's pretty frighting that you don't seem to know or understand even the most basic things.

You just can't help yourself can you? You're adrenaline must really be flowing because you think you got someone hooked on the troll line! Did you even take the time to read the email I attached that in fact came from PayPal today? Probably not? I have one last bit of advice for you before you go.
1.) Before you post anything on anybody else's thread, think to yourself, is this a positive comment or a negative comment?
2.) Am I being helpful here or belittling here?
3.) Am I adding anything useful to the conversation without taking anything away from the OP.
4.) Is all of my rhetoric professional or not, as this is a professional forum thus the name NamePros otherwise it would be called TrollPros! www.trollpros.com!
Now excuse me while I go register that name!

Interesting that two other members also replied shortly after me, also telling you that you were wrong...yet you say nothing to them? I'm not the only user to point out that you don't know what you are talking about.

What part of stop replying to my thread don't you understand? Stop replying to my threads!

I'm allowed to reply and correct misinformation. If you are doing a disservice by misleading others, I think it's important I reply to your threads. How about, stop creating useless, misleading threads...then I won't have anything to reply to!

Nonsense? I was helping you out. You are the one that started this argument because you couldn't just graciously accept you were wrong, again.

I could keep this thread at the top of the forum probably until you get kicked off this site, simply by trying to have the last thread, but a sociopathic personality would never let me get the last word in, thus I have a choice to make:

So the question is: Whose going to be the hero here?

Do I save the poor suffering readers at NP the heartache of seeing this drivel at the top of the feed by not replying, after you inevitably will.

or

Do you save the poor suffering readers of NP by ignoring this last thread and letting it slip off to never never land? Don't you wanna be a hero once in your life?

So you admit you created a stupid thread that the users of NP don't want to see. Very good...admitting is the first step.

Thanks @Dun, I missed @Beezy post on the new PayPal TOS back on 2/8 so as I just received the email yesterday I figured I would share the pertinent info with NP and was promptly piled on by the NP Troll Patrol as a broadcaster of fake news! :banghead:

I also received an email from PayPal. Although, I admit that I didn't read it. (Therefore, I didn't look at sender info, either.)

The other thread is actually a general discussion about the upcoming PayPal updates, while yours is focusing on payment sent using PayPal's friend and family functionality and how it affects buyers and sellers.

So it's a valid thread at least for me. Still reading both and thanks for sharing =)

I just purchased 2 domains here on NP where the sellers asked me to use the PayPal Friends and Family button as it doesn't charge the seller a fee like the Goods and Services button does. After March 29th if I was to use the Friends and Family button to pay for those domains and the seller then didn't deliver the domains after I paid I would not be protected if I had to file a chargeback. So basically PayPal's saying if they can't profit off of a transaction, they don't feel the need to protect their customers, which I guess is within their rights since they are a for profit business!

I never heard of you before and frankly dont know todaygold either. But its clear to me who the a hole is. Why are you persisting in spreading disinformation from a phishing email you received?

Lets just reiterate. PP FF option has never been covered by buyer protection and it is against PPs TOS to use this type of payment for business transactions. So quit your belly aching and noob frenzy and step down.

It wasn't a fishing email, it came from PayPal! Was trying to be helpful to anyone who might have missed it!

@promo It's on the top of the screenshot that's attached to the main thread!
