Non-US citizen Can I buy and sell .us domains?

Hello namepros I am Emmy new to the forum

my question is above can I register and sell .us domain name provided that I am not a us citizen or living inside the us? will I face any penalties from domain registrars ? or not be able to sell it and transfer it to buyer? I have a us address I use on amazon.com for redirecting packages should I use it when buying .us domains ?

You can probably register with your US address but your info is not allowed to be private on .us domains.

Registrants in the usTLD must be either:

1.A natural person (i) who is a United States citizen, (ii) who is a permanent resident of the United States of America or any of its possessions or territories, or (iii) whose primary place of domicile is in the United States of America or any of its possessions [Nexus Category 1],

2.A United States entity or organization that is (i) incorporated within one of the fifty (50) U.S. states, the District of Columbia, or any of the United States possessions or territories, or (ii) organized or otherwise constituted under the laws of a state of the United States of America, the District of Columbia or any of its possessions or territories (including a federal, state, or local government of the United States or a political subdivision thereof, and non-commercial organizations based in the United States) [Nexus Category 2], or

3.A foreign entity or organization that has a bona fide presence in the United States of America or any of its possessions or territories [Nexus Category 3].

Thanks everyone for your replies I am interested in trying the process of hand reging a .us and selling it to see for myself what will happen.
I wonder if anyone had a real experience selling some .us?, I previously seen some Asian guy on flippa sold .us .uk and got positive reviews.

You must be a US citizen, a permanent United States resident, or a US entity such as organizations and corporations. Additionally, any business or corporation with a bona fide presence in the USA may register.
However, as no document is involved during registration, you can register one, the risk is that, the registrar or registry may at any point of time ask for documents and if not satisfied, snatch the domain away.

There are work arounds...

if you are going to be getting lots of .us domains and trying to sell them then I suggest getting a free Stackery account (this will give a U.S. postal address) or if you want to spend some money and get addresses in multiple countries around the world then invest in a Aramex account. Then also get a US phone number that diverts to your mobile phone.... I have many .us domains and this is how I have set it up
