Started a series called Brandable Daily Sales Analysis and would like to share some useful discoveries.
Lets now dive in.

First would be Fitalytics (dot) com

Note the following.

Registration Date: 2010-06-02

Month of Sale: 2016-05

Domain Length: 10 Characters

Domain History:

As you can see the current nameserver from the image suggests that the domain was recently added to brandbucket marketplace. Also that the domain was first registered back in 2008 although the current registration date is 2010-06-02 We can also see that it’s very likely that the domain has changed hands prior its sale on brandbucket.

Other Extensions : 1 other extensions has been taken

Google Popularity: On Google first page results it has 9 similar mentions excluding where domain is brandbucket. The most interesting part is that the name “Fitalytic” was mentioned on CrunchBase. We can conclude that it’s Google Popularity is strong.

Social Handles: It’sTwitter has been taking since 2012. The Facebook handle has also been taken.

Dictionary Keywords: Fit, and Italy.

Brandbucket Sold Keyword: Aly Example of sold domain that contain such keyword dailydealy.com .

Other Keywords: Taly, Alytic, Aly

Similar End User Domain currently in use: talytics.com This simply suggests some trends from the word Alytic.

They mostly miss a lot from dropcatch or more venues?
I honestly don't use it that much. I have a different style of day-to-day domaining that makes it almost obsolete for me.

But yes, I have noticed that it misses dropcatch and godaddy sales. Perhaps someone that watches it constantly will chime in with a more concise answer.

I do not believe but am not totally sure if Namebio was tracking DropCatch back then, @Michael can answer.

We started tracking DropCatch on February 22nd, 2015. The only time we should miss any of their results is if their site is down, otherwise we shouldn't miss a single sale since you can watch every auction with no backorders required. We don't load in sales under $100 though, maybe that's what he is thinking of?

For GoDaddy we only track expired auctions, and again shouldn't miss a single one unless their site is down or not functioning properly. We don't track public auctions because the way we watch doesn't show if the reserve is met or not, and lots of them have reserves.

Thanks Michael, yeah that's what I thought, it was a $1,275 sale but it was in 2014 before you started tracking.

nelo/com seems to have sold @ $69,995 making it the top sell for the month.

More names ending in lytics =>sellytics/com @$2,895

Smaller guys still stand a chance on brandbucket?

Krell now sits on 17 sales out of about 74 current sales :xf.eek:

ultracast/com now his second top for the month @ $14,995

While Margot on 6 sales with highest sale sproutsy/com for $5,450

Who knows how many domains brandbucket has been rejecting that might have led to a sale if only it was listed. That is why we need facts/data to justify that our names are good enough and try alternatives marketplaces etc. Brandbucket are limited to things they know.

A right brandable domain with less popular first letter alphabet and other key characteristics is as rewarding as having premium keywords or trending letters in a domain.

Also priced higher because of the scarcity!

Dnbolt, do you have some lists with brandables sold on namebio, like most used dictionary words or registration dates for the brandables listed at namebio?

Doron @ dngeek.com does an extremely great work in fetching brandables sales from namebio. An actual human doing the processing than asking a robot to figure out brandable sales from namebio warehouse.

Most used keywords? You have to be careful in which data source you use. Example namebio provides lots of noise in terms of keyword popularity so I have to also consult crunchbase, bradbucket, brandroot etc to find out what is mostly agreed on (known as the truth).

Registration dates of brandables on namebio sure but not yet configured.

Profitpanda/com; schoolpanda/com; capitalpanda/com; will take action IF see 1-2 more panda sales...

About 4-5 additional panda sales on BB for past 2 years but not counting it.

Any good keyword with any popular animal is worth having. The better the keyword the least popular the animal can be. The least popular the keyword the better the animal has to be. Alliterations like ProfitPanda are gold. Personally I'm in the process of building another portfolio based solely on alliterations. If I'm going to have the carry cost of a ton of names I'd rather have names that look and sound good too. If an end user has a choice of four or five names that are of similar quality, I believe, they would choose the alliteration based solely on look and sound. I know I do when looking for a name for a project.

BB have really loosened the reins on their approvals, i have seen a lot of names submitted/excepted i wouldn't even hand reg.

I said that before and I say that again...there is NO VALUE in listing domains on a mktplace that has over 40K names on it. Domains are not showcased..they are buried.

There is NO VALUE in listing domains on a mktplace whose owners/employees etc have many names on...which names do you think will sell first?

There is NO VALUE in listing domains on a mktplace that has 5 to 10 variations of the same name..

Why do you guys think they want all names to point there? Think about that for a sec.

That is the conclusion you decided to take..not mine, and if this is the conclusion you took you are probably thinking more about domainers than end users.

The first step buyers take when they want to buy a name is to type it in their browser and that's why BB wants all the names pointed there.

When a buyer lands on BB where there are many names like yours the buyer will start browsing for variations, cheaper names, better names, shorter names..
Listing domains in such a place makes it harder to sell imo.

Even GD is probably a better option as for people it is quite hard to browse the inventory, use filters and on top of that they have to create an account and pay a fee for auctions..there is a higher probability they will stick with your name.

Best option is to have your own portfolio site where the buyer will only browse your names. And btw all the brandables I have sold to end users ( because this is what we are talking about here, end users ) were inbound. They have found me. My job is to make sure they do not get confused and buy someone else's names.

That may apply for keyword names but not for made up names. I have done well with BB so far selling 5L made up names.
