This thread is a central location to report domain name sales of any dollar amount.

As much information as you can include about the transaction is welcome, but at a bare minimum please include the domain name(s), the sale price, and whether you were the seller.

Good luck with your sales!

Please use the Like and Thank links on a post to indicate that you like it or are thankful for it being shared.

Do not post only, "great sale" or similar as this doesn't contribute to the thread. (Don't reply for the sole purpose of complimenting.)
  • Tip: Use the Like/Thanks feature instead.

Questions are allowed, but do not post commentary. If you want to discuss or comment on a sale in this thread, quote it and then post it in the following thread instead:

Okay have had enough, so publicly showing disappointment about the sales posts where you do not bother sharing domain name and sale price. Its under NDA? Be ethical and avoid sharing altogether as thta's what NDA means :)

I mean what is the point of making a post without key information that is the heart of this discussion thread? Boasting about something? Trust me, this aint the right place.. people are here to learn from you and others, like what sells in the market, how people do it and how people reading can effectively integrate them strategies into their business model of selling domain names to endusers.

I have shared my bit, public or privately, and have had members here help me all throughout with their bit and that should be the intention while making a post here.

Help build a sustainable domain name industry ecosystem by sharing your experience, expert opinion and knowledge rather than half-heartedly written posts without useful information IMO.

No Offence intended to any particular individual.

one world, one love!

well said. I mentioned this to mods loong time ago. im sure i wasn't only one.
I just created today a thread to share "past offers we decided to decline"... just a variation on this one to some extent.. and I made sure to outline in rules that if you can't post full name and price of your declined sale offer.. then its best not to post at all.. cheers.

Not sure if this was somewhat directed to me, as I posted a sale without specifying the name. I want every single person here to make a bucket load of money and I also want to help everyone where I can with sharing experiences that we all can learn from. However posting a domain which will then be subsequently whois'd to obtain the owner info (has no privacy protection) who will in turn being spammed 50 times is not really cool in my book. Not only do I value the lead I worked hard to get, I also respect my buyer's privacy and time. So why post at all? Well you can still extract some useful information.

1. You know a sale occurred in the market so if you following sales trends, then know another one has just taken place.
2. You know it was a VR domain, therefore you can establish type of domain trend.
3. You know it was a Keyword+VR specifically.
4. You know that it was Outbound, so its should be encouraging to know that people are trying it and succeeding.

You could fairly interpret someone posting a sale as boasting if you want, I think everyone who has worked their ass off to make a sale should be allowed to get a little round of applause and a pat on their back from their colleagues for their achievement. I like to see it as encouragement for me and for others. When I see people here making money, selling domains, it just drives me that much harder. Just my opinion.

Yes, a domain sales report should include the domain name that sold for accuracy, authentication, and market research purposes. The last thing everyone needs is members post hundreds of sales posts with claims of sales and no domains to verify their accuracy. The sales report forum would lose it's credibility.

I hope that makes sense.

Let's get back on topic with reported sales.

Thanks,

That's fair enough, after I wrote my post, I did check the rules again in the first post of this thread, which clearly states you need the domain name. Thanks for the added clarification. I will have to ensure my buyers have privacy protection before revealing any sales in this thread. Wishing everyone a great week! May all your pockets be lined with gold. (y)

ROI : Approximate 1350%

  • Won name on Namejet for $362 on 19th December 2016
  • I got message from interested buyer on 14th January 2017 with initial offer of $2000.

  • Little negotiation via PM back & forth.
  • I represented all facts about name and explained why it is very valuable domain.
  • I received highest offer of $2750 again within couple days via PM. I said my expectation is High $XXXX. I explained my reasoning to him why my expectation is in that range.

A couple weeks ago, I sold L33.cc for $275 via a Uniregistry BIN lander. Commission = 10% or $27.50. Chinese buyer.

I had this priced basically just to get my money back: bought for $154 at Pheenix a year earlier. I've been letting less appealing Chinese CCC.cc drop. Wasted $1k-$2k on these last year.

How come almost all domains still have ur details in whois ...Even the recent sales have ur whois...Don't u transfer the domains immediately or how it works ..Above quoted sales is reported 1 week back but still has ur whois

This is due the the FastHosts.com internal transfer mechanism - even though the names have been moved to the buyer's account, the who.is details remain the same until the buyer triggers the contact-change for the name's.
