Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

V R T V on Flippa has 1 bid at 100K

We will see if that sticks. Shilling is rampant at Flippa, especially from 'NEW' accounts.

VRTV is a a great, great domain, but still bit surprising that $100,000 doesn't hit the reserve.

I guess it depends how motivated the owner is to sell. This name should only go up in value over the next few years, so if they're not in a hurry for the money I'd say they're best off holding out for more.

If it was me though, I'd have a hard time turning down six figures.

New Bidders always make me question also, especially on flippa for some reason.... But if the Broker is doing his part, hopefully this is one of his hundreds of emails and callouts to Businesses, Startups, investors, and so on ...

You can't really compare that name to PlayVR just because Play is a verb.. :xf.eek:

I did not "compare" it to any of those premium ultra domains. just stating fact.

are those words I mentioned Nouns? Adjectives? Pronouns?

Verbs yes?

These days the geeks of the world love being or looking "Clever" I mean seriously?

Oculus?

why not GLASS? or Eye? or Lens?

Oculus for VR?

really? sounds cool yes? but if they followed you they would have gotten Glass or Eye.

Geeks are quirky. never know what they will like.

wasn't really saying mine is better or same category.

i mean hey. if those domains are in the high $xx,xxx you can buy mine for low $x,xxx or mid.

but as they always say in Domaining. Always always be GENERIC. all encompassing.

and Verb? is thee umbrella and everything under that umbrella is all the stuff I mentioned earlier.

Gamble? Bet? Run?Eat?Play?Join? kiss? Touch? Travel?Work? Jump?
I could fill a book half the dictionary is all verbs. Each word a niche onto itself.

Shall I go on?

GamesVR.co. A dropped domain from my list. I have some .co domains, but only the very best are good enough for me to hold on. But the $6 promo is very nice. And i must say i did sell 2 .co domains in 2016.

Picked up Panacea VR and VR Panacea both in King

Keyword is very a popular domain choice and I like the meaning.

Any ideas for how a VR company could use it? Decent brandable? I'm thinking it could be used in a health related VR business.

He wanted $1 million when I contacted him a few months back on Sedo.

as in 2 VR .co names? any chance you can say here the names or pm them? thanks. yes like I said, relatively easy to pick up some good keywords like this for $6... tricky part is paying 3 times this much to keep them alive for each year. cheers.

weird.. haven't had any sedo offer in some months and then.. a few yesterday.. most failed when I first coutnered their lowballs.. but.. a couple worthy of mention (which also ended as these are intended as my longer term hold keyword types) were .com:

animationsVR $200
VRfashionista $300

cheers

What are you babbling about? Why not glass or lens, like google glass or HoloLens? Oculus is as far as I know the company and one of their products is Gear VR right? I have seen a lot of companies that's not using VR as a prefix or suffix.

However, I am not even sure what I am answering, sorry.. It was just my opinion. The only VR domain that I've spent $xxxx on is in my sign. and that's the only kind of name I would spend it on. I am sorry but I can't compare that to the domain mentioned.

But I hope all ends well with VerbVR.. In reality I am just trying to take you down to earth. To me it took a while to realize it's HARD to sell handreg domains with virtually no resell value. I hope you do better with your 6000 domains but if you don't, maybe it's time to just cut the reg action for a short while and see what you can do with whatever you have in your folio right now.

I want you to make money Avtar. Don't take it as a disrespect..

WorldRallyVR.com
VRCableTV.com

Instead of 45 domains like this, you could probably buy a good VR name where the profit is more certain. Like this one:
https://www.dropcatch.com/Domain/VrBoutique.com

or GymVR that was up for auction a couple of days ago.

VerbVR.com

A verb is any word the has anything to be with an action.

Eat - verb
Go - verb
Walk - verb
Run - verb
Climb - verb
Jump - verb
Play - verb
Punch - verb
Kick - verb

Talk about generic.

You might also try selling your 'verb' as a brandable. Eg. Short for: Proverb, reverberate.

Vive Dev Shows How Trackers Can Provide ‘Full-Body Presence’ In VR

From fire fighting simulators to local multiplayer shooters, developers are already getting inventive with the HTC Vive’s new Trackers, and now the creators of Island 359 have something impressive of their own to show off.

CloudGate Studio this week posted a video demonstration of its ‘Fullbody Awareness’ experiments in VR. The system brings a player’s entire body into the virtual realm, in this first test using four Vive controllers. Two are held in hand as per usual and another two are taped to President and Co-Founder Steve Bowler’s feet as he walks through the demo. Such a system wouldn’t be viable for consumers but, as Bowler points out on Twitter, replacing the bottom controllers with the Trackers may yield interesting results.

I've asked the broker of VRTV.com and he told me the $100k bid is legit. I hope he's right. :)
