Hello, folks.

I would gladly accept your advices on this thread. As you can already see - I am in need for a new laptop. The budget is not the best option for me. It should remain in 450-550 dollars range (round 500 euros). At the moment I am using my oldie Hp proboook 4540s. This is so far my first laptop and I am indeed glad about it. But it is an old device and I need a better and more powerful. I understand that I cannot get the best option in the market but if it is possible - try to get the best quality for this sum.

I would be happy if I could obtain another HP laptop unless there are better options. Anyway, feel free to comment, add links or models. Thanks.

Always been happy with Dell and Lenovo.

If you haven't bought a laptop in a while they are a better value for the money than they used to be.

They have to compete with tablets and other mobile devices now so they are priced more competitively.

Most have chip sets that will handle what you probably need them for.

Unless you are planning on doing gaming, video editing or heavy graphics work, then you will need a more powerful system that costs much more.

To select a good laptop, some points have to be remembered.

The price and then search according to the options those are available.

If you wish to have a laptop for gaming, then it must have a dedicated GPU.

If you want to have a laptop for entertainment, then it must have an HDMI output.

If you prefer to have a laptop for photo/video editing, then it must have more space, multicore CPU and an sRGB colour space monitor.
