Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

What do you guys think?

The ones below are *kinda* OK but I'd still consider if they're worth keeping or not. They're kinda mediocre but could definitely be used by companies. The ones I did not mention should definitely be dropped, but that's just my opinion.

I don’t think I would have been too bothered about GymVR, it’s a nice brandable but don’t think I would have been too interested in it personally.

Good as VR is and the potential of haptic technology, doubtful it can make you lift weights, even if it could that would be a health and safety nightmare.

Also what would be the benefits in training in a VR gym over a real life gym? Nothing really, you still need real life equipment and as said above, lifting/using real life equipment without seeing what you’re doing properly is just asking for trouble from a health and safety pov.

So yeah I’m not too sold on fitness in Virtual Reality yet to be honest, the bulky VR headsets how they are now already make you sweat enough as it is, never mind exercising with one on.

Bumped in to some of mij older VR regs I haven't mentioned before. Both in .eu (with German being the preferred language for .eu):

VRbrillen & VR-brillen
(German / Dutch plural for VR glasses)

Every treadmill in nearly every gym comes equipped with audio jacks (and if they're not used it's because the gym user has their own). Imagine with a VR headset and seeing a personal trainer encouraging you, or being transported into an Olympic stadium, or running along a beach etc. That's just one example. Already sports teams are implementing VR in training (some of that is likely just marketing and hype at the moment obviously) so the sweaty bulky headset thing isn't even insurmountable right now. I can also see special vr headsets (with inbuilt fans and sweatbands and so on) being made for gyms.

But for that would there need to be an industry called ‘Virtual Reality Fitness’ or ‘Virtual Reality Gym’? – Seeing sceneries while on an exercise bike or a treadmill sounds more like a gimmick that will only appeal to a select few more so than a whole new industry.

So with that and in the case of domains you have to think who's going to buy GymVR? How much is someone going to pay?

I do think at $570 there should be a ROI, but yeah as said it's not something i would have been too interested in personally.

if you ask these questions then you might as well ask another one: what is the need for the entire VR industry. the two questions are identical.

Maybe someone remember, that I sold B*e*s*t*V*R in king for $9000 via DNS at the beginning of 2016. After sale, I forgot to delete this name on GD auctions. And several days ago I received email from GD, that someone bought "my" domain name for $20,000(BIN). So I quickly contacted buyer and GD support, and I explained that domain no longer in my possession.
The moral of this story - VR prices grow :xf.wink:

I don’t get your point.

VR has many uses where it can enhance/revolutionise many industries and create new separate industries (p*rn/games/art/travel/TV etc), but I just don’t see fitness/gyms being something that Virtual Reality is going to revolutionise.

Just my opinion.

Health and Leisure maybe, but not as a tool that millions of people are going to use in gyms - Just my opinion.

yes I understand what you are saying. but as I mentiond to you before, when speaking in general terms about VR and its applications.. things must go beyond our personal preferences (like what we want to use) or what we can understand... when I am in doubt or seek ideas about certain areas of VR and its potential applications.. I do a quick VR+keyword google search and boom... 1000 new ideas and options pop out... and then my heads spins around for 5 days exponentially growin those 1000 into 1 million.

whether it is when some guy in pasdt here said there is no use for VRdating... or you for VRgym.. or the next guy who might ask about VRdream or 1000 other examples.

google is our friend. it has ability to blow up our brains into infinite expansion. let's use it all the time a lot!

so.. google: VRgym, gymVR, vrtraining, fitnessVR, VRfitness, VR fitness, Virtual Reality Gyms.. and about 10 more variations... do word search on that.. the switch tab to images.. then switch tab to videos etc... and then don't forget to multiple it by factor of 1 million to compensate for 1% current VR stage.

and I promise by the time you are done eating your cookie, you will be watching yourself standing in the kitchen... and asking yourself.. "hm... but if I'm watching myself standing in the kitchen, then who is standing in the kitchen and who is doing the watching".. and thus you will at last know who you are... or are not.

cheers.

nice!
I own

VRmoves.com

VerbVR.com got interest. But then ghosted.
I think asked for too much.

They did not even make an offer.

What's up with these tire kickers are most underusers? Or domainers?

Referenced first page ( highest sales) NB for Keyword+VR.coms (only)

This one is a short 4L+VR.com singular.

With significant meaning.

A verb is any word the has anything to be with an action.

Eat - verb
Go - verb
Walk - verb
Run - verb
Climb - verb
Jump - verb
Play - verb
Punch - verb
Kick - verb

Talk about generic.

Sigh********

Although VR headsets will work well on exercise bikes, rowing machines etc, I generally see fitness VR being used at home, not in real world gyms.

The whole point of VR is to take you to a virtual world, somewhere you're not. It would be a virtual gym.

When I want to play VR basketball, I don't go down to my local court and put a headset on.

LiveStreamingVR - LiveStreaming360

VR Livestreaming to Facebook Now Supported by NVIDIA GeForce Experience

At CES 2017 it was announced that users with NVIDIA’s Geforce Experience software will be able to stream gameplay of whatever they’re playing, including VR content, to Facebook Live. An update now available for the software enables the feature, including the ability to share 360 degree screenshots.

GeForce Experience—software unique to Nvidia’s GPUs which keeps drivers updated and supports video capture—has previously supported livestreaming via Twitch and YouTube, but the growth of Facebook’s ‘Live’ livestreaming functionality has made it a desirable place to share gameplay with friends. Thanks to a new GeForce Experience update, users can now connect their Facebook account and stream live gameplay, including gameplay from VR content, directly to the massive social media platform.
